2009 Free Agent lists - Keeper/Dynasty league help (1 Viewer)

I play in a couple keeper leagues and have been able to find good 'keeper' value by targeting future UFAs. Lamont Jordan, Michael Turner, etc were guys that we were able to anticipate having a large leap in value because we expected they would switch teams and pick up a starting gig with a new team.

I;m mostly interested in the RBs, but since I had it open, I am pasting in QB/RB/WRs....

Some intial thoughts or questions about the guys in bold...Any chance Jackson leaves...and if so who would then be 'in line' to be the guy...(I know...not likely)

Same with Brandon Jacobs...

Kevin Jones has obviously already moved...

Mo Morris is probably not likely to get a starting gig since he couldn't win it in Seattle...

Is Darren Sproles the next Turner...? (this year AND the following year?)

Would anyone give Ricky a chance...?

I see no back-up with 'starter' written all over them ala Michael Turner or even a Matt Schaub in this list. sorry.

Not sure how up to date this list is, because I didn't even see Roy Williams on there, and iirc Lee Evans should of been on there (although I know he has been resigned). Similarly to last year, there doesn't seem to be too much out there for teams with a need. I am sure that will result in a guy like Housh getting over paid.

Jackson re-signed. Kevin Jones looks like the best rb on there

Can Haynesworth get franchised again?

Ricky signed a one-year contract extension earlier this year and SJax got a new contract.

Huh? What about Brandon Jacobs???? On a side note, where does he end up next year? Does he resign with the Giants? WHich teams could possibly lure him away from New York? NE? KC? Seattle? Not many needs out there. I'd love to see him in Houston but with Slaton picking it up there, I don't see it happening.

I think Sproles is a RFA and Fred Jackson is a Exclusive Rights FA

My hardcore Giants friends feel very confident in going with Bradshaw/Ward next year and they feel Jacobs will ask for way too much $ which makes Jacobs the only worthy stud left on that list that hasn't signed an extension already and could make a huge impact with a new team.

And if Jacobs does sign on again with the Giants for a huge contract, would the Giants then shop either Ward or Bradshaw? FA's aren't the only ones to consider here. Their current backups should be looked at too. Just look at Steve Breaston. He capitalized when Bryant Johnson headed to SF. Will the Giants carry Jacobs, huge contract and all, as well as Ward and Bradshaw in 2009? Both Ward and Bradshaw would generate buzz if they were trade bait.

Ward is an UFA after this season as well. I doubt both Jacobs and Ward will be back with the Giants. This list isn't up to date.
