Here is the LINK to the Anrachy League 1 Draft Web Site.

The default password for all teams is: anarchy.

The draft has been turned on.

The clock is currently off.

People can make picks at any time.

Please predraft whenever possible.

Once everyone is informed the draft has started and makes a pick, I will turn the timer on.

If someone misses a pick, they will get a placeholder pick (BPA) selected by the MFL system. AN OWNER CAN PM ME A REPLACEMENT PICK FOR THAT PLAYER and if that player is still available at the time I get the PM, I will swap that pick. I am generally around and on-line, so usually I can get to swap picks within 2-3 hours worst case.

I carried over the league set up from one year to the next each year . . . so if the league scoring set up on the web site is WRONG, let me know. But as far as I know it is correct (unless someone points me to an error somewhere).

Well, I had NE QB and LT as the top 2 in my book for sure. I was hoping Peterson would sneak in and I'd land one of them.

I'm still very high on Randy Moss this year, and it's nearly automatic that NE will play at least 2 playoff games, so I grabbed him at #3.

 
Hey David, we're doubling playoff points this year, right? We should finally do that, for fun. Why not? We could use a little suspense at the end finally. And the playoffs to boot! DO IT.

No.A couple of the other leagues saw the guys at the top change a lot over the playoffs last year. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

PERFECT!That's the point, it IS broke. You've included playoffs to do what? Extend are FF season and make drafting more interesting by adding a spin. So let that happen!

I like the idea. But as it stands, the playoff influence and interest is minimal. So fix it. What's cool about the league is the different format.

And the argument that nobody really knows who's going to the playoffs is silly. That's the fun in it -- we're all Nostradamus want-to-be's to begin with. Reward the ones that hit it.

It's not like we're playing for money. Hell, at least up to 150% of the regular season...

Anyway, my .02. Now who's on the clock? Lemme guess, bostonfred?!?!

As for Steven Jackson sliding to me...you sure you guys don't wanna do-over??

Reggie Wayne outscored all RBs last year in this format. He outscored the #3 RB by 90 points.
 
I am not stoked on LHUCKS having SJax and LJ. Could be some major value there.

I am stoked on having Moss and Chad, the #1 and #3 WRs on my board. I am a bit higher on Chad than most this year. In this format, I don't care about Chad having huge variation in his weekly scores, so long as he scores a lot.

Definitely some reaches early on, like Jones-Drew and Reggie Bush. I'm not a big fan of either due to load sharing duties.

FBG has them projected the same. Who do you think is more likely to get to the playoffs? Barber is a slam dunk over Sjax.

I think everybody should draft players based on what they scored last year.
 
So I go to hold bostonfred's hand in a p-mail, show him our draft he signed up for and stuff...when I see he's already been around this morning. Yep, started a thread in the baseball forum seeking help with Jerry Dickburnhurst or something.

I guess I was oVVned about SJax being the biggest reach of the draft. How could I forget that you still had 3rd and 4th round draft picks to make.

Well, I don't have SJax and Barber projected the same. I have SJax as the #2 RB on my board, well ahead of Barber. Everyone had SJax in their top 3 last year, and now that he's healthy again, in a contract year, and has Al Saunders running the offense, why not expect monster numbers?

QB: Saints

RB: McGahee, Fatdale

WR: CJ2

TE: Witten

Pretty satisfied with this start. Witten was a no brainer in the first and I had him rated higher than several of the guys drafted before him. I've always waited to draft a team QB and usually finish in the upper half of this league but never in contention. I've bled too many points to the top teams on a yearly basis. I expect the Saints to be playoff bound and Bress could put up huge points this year. While I would make the same pick, the fact that QB picks have been sparse in this league have reduced the value of this pick. McGahee and White should put up respectable numbers for me at the RB position. Both were last in their tier when i selected them. Honestly not sure why I draft CJ over some others except that I've never had him on a team. It was pretty much a coin flip at the time and none of the WRs I was looking at were a threat to do much in the post season. The part I like about this draft the best is that I'm balanced at this stage and can draft for value at any position for the next few rounds.

 
David, care to explain the Miller pick to me? As a flexible pick, I think you left some serious points on the board by not going WR or RB at that spot.

Miller should again clock in at 200-225 points and I can use him as a flex. Teams that will end up not using a TE at a flex will most likely not come close to that out of the flex spot.A RB5 or WR 6 will probably only score 50 points. IMO, I am more confident in getting some decent WR in the next few rounds vs letting more TE go off the board.In essence, I see only a few TE left in as decent scoring options. I still see a couple dozzen decent WR options. IMO, I will lose out a a few points at WR but will make up a bigger chunk in the FLEX spot.IMO, we are almost at a point where RBs are not worth much unless you hit on the right ones.

Once you've filled your starting requirement it comes down to a raw point issue so looking at what will be available later in the draft is a non-issue. For Miller to be the right pick there he had to be projected higher than every other WR on your board. Of course that excludes the delta expected from leaving everyone else one less TE.

I understand what you are saying . . . that whether you are filling a last spot as a FLEX or as a WR you still are having a spot to fill from a diluted talent pool.I liked Miller's chances better than some of the WRs available at that point. I also think the talent pool at WR is pretty deep, so there will be some decent options later on. I also understand that later on there will be some hard to digest options for all of us.I have Miller pegged for a similar scoring total as last year with maybe a few more receptions. I have the other guys that were left doing slightly worse than they did last year, so in my book Miller will score slightly more.I don't think there's a dramatic scoring difference one way or the other here.

I am going to have to disagree with Anarchy's assessment and reasoning for taking Health Miller 4.05 as his flex player being a wise decision when there were many other starters available.I do not see taking Miller as the 10th TE off the board hedging the other owners out from being able to re-coup value from the position. TE's drafted after this such as Scheffler, Vernon Davis ect. are not losing much ground if any to Miller imho.I also do not see how locking up your flex position so early will give you a benifit in total points. You seem to be saying that by scoring X points from the flex position it will give you an advantage over every other team because you drafted the flex so highly. That is debatable although the logic suggests you are comparing a player you drafted in the 4th round to players other owners will draft in round 18. You SHOULD ouscore those players from the flex position but I fail to see how that gives you any strategic advantage.When you drafted Miller only 18 WR were off the board. You could have drafted Megatron, Marshall, Driver, Cotch ect. you did come back and get Driver in round 5.. imagine if you had gotten Cotch and Driver.. you would be in a lot better shape imo.. 3 WR and only 2 more needed to fill..Or you could have drafted RB Edge, Grahm, McFadden, Turner, FWP, Tom Jones.. these guys are starters and I am certain the ones who do not get injured will outscore Miller in total points while your opponents get a weaker flex..maybe.. you have ZERO RB and need 4.The only way I see this working in Anarchy's favor is if he pulls some comatose bargain starters at RB/WR in rounds 17 to compete with what he has lost at those starting positions.
