(KFFL) Houston Texans LB Brian Cushing has been suspended for four games after violating the NFL's steroids policy, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter. Cushing appealed the suspension in February, but found out Friday, May 7, that he had lost his appeal.

Agreed, but then you also have to consider the whole argument of what kind of impact the steroid use had on his performances last season. I hope he can return to his form of last season, but I'm not optimistic. Goodell may even extend the suspension.

Cushing is expected to be replaced in the lineup by Zac Diles, who’ll move from the weak side to the strong side, where he started in 2008 until he was injured.

Veteran Xavier Adibi and rookie Darryl Sharpton are expected to compete for Diles’ weak-side job.

Texans general manager Rick Smith is expected to sign a veteran to back up Diles on the strong side.
