Watched quite a bit of the game, and he looked ok. He didn't rip off any "wow"-type runs, and the O-line didn't create a whole lot of space for him to move. But, he moved pretty aggressively and fought through a few arm tackles. He didn't go down in a lump like Cedric Benson at all. But, he didn't dazzle, either.
From the parts of the game that i watched (bits here and there), he seemed to move effectively and finished off some runs nicely. He's certainly not the Ahman from the Packers hey-day, but he should be ok this year.
I was at the game. He looked pretty good. The o-line was finding their block but the KC D was really swarming. He didn't break off anything huge but he was definitely breaking tackles and getting more than he was given. Dayne was also run a lot in the fourth to preserve the lead and keep Ahman fresh. Had this been a close game I'm sure we would haveseen more of Ahman and 100 yards would have been much more likely.

Great! Thanks for the insight. I'm also a Benson owner so I'm curious to see if he can produce similar production against KC's defense. If Green can have another consistent game against the Panthers, I might have to bump up as my #2.
Houston never had the ball near the goal line.Houston was in the red zone late. Dayne and Green both carried the ball there before the Texans kicked a FG.
Ahman had 18 yards on a 3rd and 35 play where the KC defense was super soft. And he had a 12 yard run on a play from around the 50 yd line with 3 seconds left in the first half where KC was in a prevent obviously expecting pass. Take out those 2 plays and he averaged under 3 ypc when the other team was actually trying to stop him. I have Ahman in a few leagues and I was very disappointed with his game and the way they used him week 1.
