FBGs rest of year projection ranks Hillis 6th w/ my scoring rules (PPR+ >100k yardage bonuses) but I don't see it - I see him having games left against some great run D's - Jets, Steelers, Ravens, Dolphins, Panthers and + a week against the Pats. Not exactly a creampuff schedule.

Anyone have any thoughts? He's averaging ~16pts/week with only one breakout game and no poor weeks.

What's the consensus on his value through the end of the year? I don't know if I can value him above Forte, Rice, Tomlinson, McFadden, Best etc but if the consensus disagrees I might be persuaded.

He's shown to be versatile enough that even against tough run defenses that shut down the run yardage- he does well with catches.. He has a nose for the endzone both from the ground and through the air.. He has also ran well against some top run def..

I'm a biased owner, but I certainly think he can continue to do well. Top 6? maybe not, Top 10? I hope so.

 
That offense goes through him. Who else is there? NO ONE. He is my solid RB2 and I am depending on him to take me far. I just hope he stays healthy.

You likely won't get fair value for him since most tend to hold onto their preseason perceptions, but I personally would value him above just about everyone on your list except McFadden and perhaps Rice. If he stays healthy he will be a beast during the cold weather games in Cleveland and out east. His schedule weeks 12-16 is particularly scrumptious.

 
was recently offered crabtree for hillis in a full PPR league. turned it down.... hillis is a very solid RB3 and a decent RB2, esp. in PPR.

I tend to agree with you, I think 6 may be high. The guy works hard and he does get the ball a lot, but those are some physical defenses. I know he's coming off bye but he's going to get dinged a little, at least slow down at some point, at least IMO.I have him and started him in 2 leagues and my opinion on him all along has been I'm going to ride him as long as the waive keeps going. So whether he's top 6, or top 12 from here on out, he's in my lineup.I will also say he's the type of guy that you won't get your true value for if you trade him. Most likely, your best off going with him rather than trading him unless you have a guy really in need of a RB.
 
Forte splitting carries and no longer the GL back. Rice still has McGahee vulturing TDs from him. Best's value dwindling with Kevin Smith getting more time. LT still has Green and if Jets are smart they limit his touches to preserve him for playoffs.

Hills as stated above the GUY. GL Back, no one to still touches, active in passing game. Barring health how is he a low RB2? I don't see it.

 
Hillis has a great chance to put up top-10 fantasy RB numbers this year, while playing in an offense that seems to lack any real playmakers at the QB or WR position.

Where do people see his value next offseason? Will the Browns stick with him as their feature back or try to force Hardesty or someone else into that role?

In other words, how valuable of a keeper/dynasty player do you think Hillis is right now?

I would assume that his value is much lower in keeper/dynasty than it is in redraft. Not saying I necessarily agree with this but Mangini and Co. drafted Hardesty for a reason. Success in the NFL is no longer predicated on a bell cow approach (it still can be, though) and I can see them using Hillis and Hardesty in a mix and match next year and beyond. It just makes sense from an NFL standpoint, as we've seen even the most durable guys fall off a cliff or eventually get dinged. Hillis is a damn good find this year, but his value will depend a lot on the health of Hardesty. I can also see them bringing in a veteran for backup duties, as Bell is really not the answer there either. Maybe I'm off, but Hillis redraft> Hillis Keeper/Dynasty.
 
I'm surprised to see people's reactions here. Hillis is studly this year. The Browns are feeding him the ball. He's their main offensive weapon. They use him running and receiving. If the Browns are going to score points, it's likely going to be through Hillis. This thread tells me I need to makes some offers for him.

Dynasty is a different story, who knows what the Browns' plans are.

 
Glad Stephen Jackson had a bye and put in Hills, he's the reason I'm going to win this week.

 
He made several impressive plays in this game. The first run of the game he leaped over a defender like four feet up in the air for a 19 yard gain. Later, he caught a 30 yard or so pass from McCoy like a wide receiver down the field. Dude is sick.

I've offered him up for trade in a dynasty league for the past month and have received absolutely no offers. Probably will never get value for him, so I'll continue to start him and just enjoy one of the better WW pickups this year.

Depends on whether or not he gets tested before fantasy football playoffs. I have no doubt in my mind at all that this guy is on PED's. I'm not even a big accuser of steroids but this guy has all of the symptoms. You can ride him for now though.

Jaw line, muscle definition, look at him man, it's not natural. He wasn't even this big in Denver. Take one look at the guy and if you really need more proof, your oblivious. 90 percent of the NFL is on some form of PED. So that should be a given. He looks more toned then Denver because he has been tanning too.

:yes: @ the pics as your proofI mean, pic #1 is last year with Broncos, pic #2 is this year...and he looked bigger last year (the opposite of what you said). But go ahead an do a Google image search so you can post Razorback pics when he looks bigger still.

Is he on some stealth PED that makes you look smaller but you're really stronger?

Listen, maybe his on the juice...I pretty much assume there are dozens of guys on every team who are. But I don't know if you have enough to go here to be throwing out accusations based on a couple pics, and casually dismissing anyone's opinion that varies from your own.

Welp, that settles it.
 
In a redraft league, he's gold right now with a great playoff schedule. Anyone competing shouldn't deal him, and anyone not competing in a redraft doesn't care about him.

His dynasty value is a bigger question. I carried him in the offseason and into the season in a league where I was forced into a rebuild. I shopped him all year, but no one would give up anything worth a damn for him.... until last week.

I moved him for Pierre Thomas, Jay Cutler, and a first rounder next that'll be between 9 and 12.

He's got plenty of talent and absolutely no competition for touches this year. I expect him to have some competition for touches next season.

We all have our own opinions, and I respect yours. My opinion is that he's juicing without question.

That's nonsense and ultimately doesn't matter because over half the league is on some form of PED. Until the NFL institutes blood testing it will remain that way.But I doubt it more with Hillis because he has been a stud every time he has been given an opportunity from college to Denver to Cleveland. It's not like he never produced anything the all of a sudden exploded with Cleveland. He was performing at a high level with Arkansas on limited opportunities and then with Denver before he got hurt. The guy is just a player.
