In a dynasty rookie/free agent draft, I took Kelly Holcombe with a late pick. I actually think he has some chance to end up in either Atlanta or Minnesota.

Check out this July 3rd FoxSports story:

Eagles QB Holcomb Interested In Vikings

Adam Schein, FoxSports.com - [Full Article]

Current Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Kelly Holcomb said during a recent interview that he has taken a keen interest in the quarterback situation with the Minnesota Vikings. "You do think about situations like that," Holcomb said. "Every now and again, you hear some rumblings and rumors about that. I think it makes sense. [Minnesota Vikings head] Coach Childress was a coordinator in Philadelphia. It is the same offense. Obviously the Eagles just drafted Kevin (Kolb) to go with Donovan (McNabb) and AJ (Feeley). I love the guys in Philadelphia and love the professionalism and Andy Reid and the staff and I'd like to stay. But there is a logjam here and that situation you are describing, with the young talented quarterback in Minnesota, is one I've thought about."
In definately looks like Holcombe is the odd man out in Philly. McNabb will start, Feely is the backup and Kolb is the future. I would expect Minnesota and Atlanta to see what they have in Jackson and Harrington respectively, but if they look poor (and that's entirely possible), I wouldn't be surprised to see Holcombe traded to either one. For what its worth, Tony Bruno had the Eagles beat writer on this morning and he said that Holcombe looked really good in the minicamps.Just putting it out there. Think Holcombe might be a sneaky gamble very very late in deep leagues.

i can't imagine how big the league would have to be, to actually want to draft holcomb (no e). 40 team, 60 man roster? did you draft jeff george, and tim couch too?

16 teams w/ 18 man rosters. The draft goes 80 players deep. You can keep all your guys till start of the season.Guys like Jim Sorgi, Gus Ferotte and Billy Volek were getting taken late.Hmm. Is that really that surprising? My experience has been once leagues get bigger than 12 teams, any starting QB has value. If you have a cheap chance to roll the dice at a starter, its a move worth making.

Gruden is trying to sign him. Then they're going after Culpepper.

I think his time with Al Davis is starting to show in his actions.

HOARD ALL QB'S!!!

Minnesota is the main team that I have heard that may be interested in Holcomb. I personally think he could possibly start for a year there as I think Jackson could use another year on the bench.

in a 2-QB 12-teamer I'm in info like this, if true, could prove very valuable. King, if you have nothing to contribute, it's ok to not post on a thread.

I am in a 2-QB 10 team Dynasty league and I recently picked up Holcomb to back up Tarvaris Jackson in case he does sign in Minnesota. Roster cuts aren't for a while, but with Jackson as my #3 QB, I need every available starting arm to help cover my bye weeks. Seeing as how the Atlanta job is currently up in the air, I am glad I did pick him up as he could help me out if he lands in the right spot. Otherwise, bring me your playbook Kelly.

well, with the Vick situation its a very real possibility that Atl trades for a QB, , or picks one off the waiver wire..

Atlanta has already addressed in a press conference that they're going to pick up a QB near the start of camp to compete with Harrington. Harrington is not guaranteed a starting job this year even with Vick out.

Holcomb to Atlanta - book it.

The Eagles will ask for a 3rd, the Falcons will offer a 2nd day, I forsee a compromise for a conditional 08 pick.

I booked it. Now what?
Get a refund! :deadhorse: Especially after the Shockley injury, I still think Atlanta needed him more than Minnesota.Glazer says this is for a 2008 6th rounder, but the Eagles site says a 2009...
