Drew Olson and Jeremy Bloom both worked out for the Panthers today. I am wondering if there are any UCLA fans out there that can tell me about these guys.

Bloom played for the Colorado Bufs.

He was an amazing college WR. Great return man as well. As far as comparison...a raw Kevin Curtis comes to mind.

Bloom battled injuries all through the pre-season before getting cut by the Iggles. I think they really wanted him to be their return guy but he couldn't stay healthy.

He is one of the top rated Mogul skiers in the world. He does those bumps + jumps combos where they do flips and 360's and such. He's been doing it since he was a little kid. He was in a Warren Miller film when he was like 11-12 years old. He ripped in moguls as a preteen as well.

As you probably know he was denied his chance to play his final season at Colorado because he was getting sponsor money to train for the Winter Olympics. Really was a bad beat for him since he wasn't getting paid to ski...just money for equipment and training. Snow sports aren't cheap and when you're at that level you obviously have to shell out bucks to get the best instructors in the world.

He was dinged up (toe injury) but that wasn't the reason he was cut. A stiff (or moderately stiff) breeze could knock him clear off his feet.

Bloom's small and real fast real quick. Doesn't take him long to get into 4th gear. It seems there is not much more to him though. Too bad because I hear he's a real great guy with a great attitude, work ethic and all. IMO the NFL needs a few more of those kinda guys.
