#8 pick? (1 Viewer)

Hey guys i need your opinion on who i should pick in the 1st round this year i pick 8th overall in a 12 man league non ppr.

Scoring: 1pt every 20yds rushing or rec.

All TD's are worth 6pts.

1pt. every 50yds passing (I know sorta low scoring system)

Start: 1QB 2RB 2WR 1TE 1K 1DEF

In this league RB's go early and often as they do in most leagues. Of course Peterson , Jones-Drew,

Steven Jackson , Tomlinson , Chris Johnson (A Titans Fan). Those are the players i'm sure will be gone. I know this leaves 2 picks before i get to choose but this is the best i can give you right now.

Players that might go in those to picks might be Tom Brady and Michael Turner.

My problem is picking between Forte, Westbrook , maybe Turner , Drew Brees (i don't like to take a QB in the 1st round but i'll listen if someone thinks i should), DeAngelo Williams, Larry Fitz.

I appreciate any opinions you can give to help me make my decision.

Forte (Alot of people don't think Forte or Turner will be there but if they both are which one should i take?)

Westy

Turner (maybe)

DWill

Larry Fitz

Drew Brees

I appreciate any help you all can give me with this 8th overall pick!

Thanks and goodluck this year!!

I suggest doing a few mocks, and toy around with the following ideas:

- Starting RB/RB

- Starting RB/WR

- Starting WR/WR

- Starting WR/RB

- Starting QB/RB

- Starting QB/WR

By the end of the 5th round, you should have a feel for what team you're most confident in. From that spot, this year, my tendency has been to start with RB/WR. But everyone is different. There's been a lot of discussion recently about the value at RB in rounds 4 and 5, and that has led to the novelty of starting WR/WR (like Fitz/Moss), then targeting Ronnie Brown, Pierre Thomas, Knowshon Moreno, Larry Johnson, etc. It could work if you make the right RB choices, but there's increased margin for error. It's a boom or bust strategy.
