Breaking down the tape (1 Viewer)

Maroney=Speed

Footballguy
Jonathan Stewart when all is said and done will not be a top Rb.

He will fall into the mid 2nd too 3rd round.

Felix Jones may push to be the 2nd RB taken, yes behind McFadden of course.

As one of the guys I spoke to said, the tape doesn't lie.

Wr's- Malcom Kelly stock will go up.

Limas Sweed stock will go way down.

Qb's

1.Matt Ryan

2.Chad Henne

Both lead the way by a mile.

Brohm will be a bum.

Thats it leading up to the Combine. Will see what happens.

I have studied the tape, and watched a lot of college football, and have come to a completely different conclusion on Stewart, except for the fact that McFadden will go ahead of him.

Great, so when Stewart stock goes down, you can pick him in the 2nd round of your rook draft.

haha..I'd take him at 1.11 guaranteed if he fell that far.

 1.11 or 2.1 whats the differents? I guess you would trade up too 1.11 to get Him. :lmao:

The most I think you have ever said. Here's one for ya.
Not trying to bash on you or anything here M=S, but where is the "breakdown" of any tape in this thread. This appears to be just an opinion of what a guy's stock will do. With the title of the thread, I was looking forward to some kind of an attempt at an analysis.......Anyway, I at least give you credit for going on the record with these few observations, although nothing ground-breaking was mentioned here. I was probably one of the first guys, at least this year, up in here that I saw even mentioning Malcolm Kelly and 1st Rd in the same breath.......Don't make me pull out the thread on y'all.........

So we agree on Kelly. But what about Stewart? Mayock and Kiper both have Him going in the 1st.I said He will go no higher than the 2nd, maybe even slipping into the 3rd.He will not be the 1.1,1.2, or even 1.3 in rook drafts when all is said and done.

This thread is in no way related to the Draftguys.com article feature. :)
Noway. Dude I do my own work.I said I would get back to ya, and I did.Haven't seen it.But do they have Stewart and Sweed dropping?Kelly and Jones going higher? Brohm being a bum, I'm sure they had. That one was easy.

I got ya! I knew it was M=S, but I expected at least something......But Construx, you're so quick to distance yourself from M=S....... :hophead:
Yeah, wonder why... :hey:
Go ahead, I'll give ya time.Post it on Draftguys.com, then you can claim it came from you.
:lmao: I write a feature called Break Down the Tape on Draftguys.com and have since last season. When I post a new article there, I start a thread here to discuss it, usually calling it Break Down the Tape or Breaking Down the Tape. So I just didn't want anyone to come in this thread and think you were taking over my gig.

Why do you think Brohm is a bum?

Better yet, why does he think anything he thinks?Maroney=Platiudes. What tape are you breaking down? What games did you watch? What plays made impressions on you? What particular skillsets are impressing or not impressing you? Unpack the platitudes and tell us why you think these things. Give us a little substance, please. Construx -- I was sure you had a partner. :goodposting:

Can you show me where I ripped you for ranking Jackson high? That would be interesting since I've been defending him here for awhile.

The Giants defensive front just nailed Tom Brady again!
Tell Charlie it's time for your walk. :lmao:

I'm no expert but:a) disagree. I like Stewart a lot, I think he's a tremendous physical talent and has as good of a shot as any back in the draft of being the most productive pro.b) it's possible...but I think ultimately, teams will favor Stewart and Mendenhall over Jones because both should have great measurables and have proven that they can handle a full workload, whereas Jones was just a piece (albeit a very, very productive one) of an RBBC in college.c) wouldn't surprise me. It looks like none of the top tier WRs are clearly ahead of the others, so I think Kelly has just as good a shot as anyone to distinguish himself as the highest rated WR in the draft.d) no opinion here - didn't get to watch Sweed much, but from what I've read people seem down on his lack of speed, so this wouldn't surprise me either.e) I don't think any of the QBs will be great pros. I guess this depends on your definition of bum - out of the league in 3 years, or career backup?

Thanks. We all have a say. Without that this board would die. When looking at the tape of Stewart, I was surprised how easy He is to tackle. His vision is questionable. I would say He will not post good numbers on short or long shuttle.Should be interesting to watch Him at Combine.Sweed is stiff and I believe is another Mike Williams.Brohm career backup.

M=S I'd also be interested in hearing what you saw on the tape that led you to your conclusions. TIA
If a set play is to go to the A gap. Rb starts there and there's a huge hole at 'C' or even 'B' that player needs to see it and hit it hard. This Stewart was unable to do.Now yes it is true that some coaches will say if the play is to hit the 'A' hole, and nothing else. But that is far and few between.Broad jump numbers will also be worth watching.Again I'm sure the scouts saw what I did, and He will fall in the draft.

You should send your scouting reports to your favorite team. I am sure it won't be the first reports they've gotten that have been written in Crayon.

I'm sure you ran and told your little friends what I said. massraider: I'm telling ya Stewart stinks.Friend: Ok we won't draft Him, anything else?massraider: We need to trade up to get Kelly.Friend: ok, but what do we offer.massraider: I'll think it over.Maroney=Speed: massraider send me your roster and rook picks.

Sometimes I don't understand what you're saying. I'm gonna go drink 15 Mountain Dews, then bang some pots and pans against my head. I think that may help.

Ok, what don't you understand? What to watch when you watch tape of a player? What to look for when trying to figure out if a player is going to be good at the next level? What (A) gap means? What, explain alittle? Thanks
