#5 Ravens 4-2

#6 Chargers 4-2

AFC Wild Card Matchups:

#6 Chargers @ #3 Patriots

#5 Ravens @ #4 Bengals

*Broncos beat Patriots 17-7 in week 3 and thus get the #2 seed

**Bengals win the AFC north due to superior divisional record - Bengals are 2-0 while Ravens are 1-0.

***Ravens beat Chargers head-to-head 16-13 in week 4 and thus get #5 seed.

NFC

#1 Bears 6-0 (bye)

#2 Saints 5-1 (bye)

#3 Seahawks 4-2

#4 Giants 4-2

#5 Vikings 4-2

#6 Falcons 4-2

OUT Rams 4-2

NFC Wild Card Matchups:

#6 Falcons @ #3 Seahawks

#5 Vikings @ #4 Giants

*Seahawks beat Rams 30-28 in week 6 and thus win NFC West

**Seahwks beat Giants 42-30 in week 3 and thus win #3 seed.

***Vikings, Falcons and Rams are tied for two wild card spots. Vikings are 4-1 in the NFC. The Falcons and Rams are 3-2 in the NFC, thus the Vikings win the #5 seed. The Falcons and Rams have identical strength-of-victories as the clubs they have beaten are both a combined 9-17. The next tiebreaker is strength of schedule. The Falcons lost to 2 clubs with a combined record of 9-3. The Rams lost to 2 clubs with a combined record of 6-6. The Falcons have a stronger schedule and thus win the #6 seed.

I don't know nearly as much on the NFC, so I'll comment on the AFC:

1. Pats and Colts are virtual locks to win their divisions. Pats are 2+ games up on the Jets, Colts are 3+ games up on the Jags (+ meaning they have the tiebreaker if needed).

2. I think the bye race will be between the Pats, Colts and AFC West winner - 3 teams for 2 spots. The next two weeks will tell us a lot - Colts @ Broncos, Colts @ Pats. The Pats already lost to the Broncos, and that could come into play later.

3. The AFC West has two Broncos/Chargers matchups coming. The AFC North has had only one matchup between the 3 "power" teams - Bengals @ Steelers. Those races have a ways to go.

4. I think the race that will be the most exciting will be the WC spots - with a bunch of candidates fighting for 2 spots: Cincy/Ravens/Steeelers (non-division winner) - Broncos/Chargers (non-division winner)- Chiefs - Jets - Jags.

After facing the Patriots at home this week, the Vikings' schedule is like this for the next four:

SF (Away)

GB (Home)

Miami (Away)

Arizona (Home)

No game is guaranteed, but that's four games where they should be the clear favorite. They could easily be 8-3 if not 9-2 after those games (depening on the NE result).

KC only one game out with all their injuries, etc. They will be a WC team.
I agree and I think most of their season hinges on getting Tony G involved in the passing game. They have ignored him for most of the season and when they start going to him, all of a sudden the running game opens up. It is amazing! Probably the biggest thing the Chiefs have in their favor is that they get Oakland twice and still get Denver at home on Thanksgiving. I'll pretty much concede the SD game out there, I don't think we can run the table in the West from here out, but those other 3 games can and should be wins.I was at the game Sunday and Brian Waters was going nuts because they had 3 timeouts left and almost a minute left in the first half and were content to run the clock out. That kind of conservative playcalling sucks and takes the fans out of the game, they were met with a chorus of boos!B. Nugget

**Bengals win the AFC north due to superior divisional record - Bengals are 2-0 while Ravens are 1-0.
Both have a winning percentage of 1.000, so technically, it is the same, even though the Bengals have one more win. :P
Assuming that, we go thru quite a few tiebreakers but it comes down to strength of victory. The combined record of the teams the Bengals have beaten is 10-15. The combined record of the teams the Ravens have beaten is 8-16. So the Bengals still win the division.
