Best Website for New league? (1 Viewer)

I've used Sportsline for 5 years and have generally been happy with it, except for the fees.

How do ESPN and Yahoo compare to Sportsline? Has anyone used all three, and if so, what are the pros /cons of each?

Have been on CBS and was not pleased. Moved over to My Fantasy League this year and thus far have been extremely happy. Our league has been around for 17 years and we have some unique scoring categories that we had to eliminate at CBS - they are back this year and tonight we'll get our first look at how it works out. In addition, you can customize the hell out of your page, all facets of rules from waivers to scheduling, and the customer support has been very good... all for $40 or $50 less than the corporate conglomerate.

I really like Fanball, from a price/performance stand-point. It's really customizable, user friendly, and looks really good. It's also among the cheapest out there, at $70. I don't however care for My Fantasy League. It just feels cumbersome, it's not very refined. Far less use friendly in my opinion.

I've been in two leagues at MFL for several years now. I like that everything is so flexible there, but the live scoring is pathetically slow. Always has been and appears to be this year again.

My free Yahoo league updates better than MFL.

Try Fleaflicker.com. It has all the features of the other sites premium products, but it is completely free.

AOL is the exact same as Fanball and is completely free. I researched the free sites (Yahoo, ESPN and Fox) this year and AOL offered alot more options and features, IMO. The Live scoring is free and if tonight's game is any indication, the live scoring is as good I've seen. Yahoo is a very good option as well, but while there is no site fee, the live scoring is not free. Yahoo doesn't have as many features/flexibility as AOL, but the interface is very simple and user friendly. I chose AOL for our league since I thought free live scoring was important. In my limited sampling of ESPN it had neither the features or user-friendliness of Yahoo, while FOX has a bad rep as being unstable and lacking reliability, I would stay away.

I agree with this guy.
