Anthony Smith is inactive for JAX. Very interesting after he practiced fully both Thursday and Friday. Courtney Greene looking like the permanent SS here now.
LaRon Landry is active.
Stephen Cooper and Larry English both inactive.

D’Qwell Jackson was put on IR yesterday after what must have been more than a mild “pull” Thursday in practice. It’s great news for TJ Ward’s value, who may now lead the Browns in tackles this year. Scott Fujita may move back inside at some point, especially if Eric Barton continues to get washed out of plays, but the lineup should stay the same for now.DeAndre Levy was limited all week in practice, but most indications are that he’ll play. He’s got a great matchup, but still a risky start. If you’ve got another LB2 (or LB3 with upside), consider sitting him. Otherwise, I start him if he plays. Cliff Avril and Louis Delmas were limited this week but are expected to play. Zack Follett is out this week with a concussion. Landon Johnson replaces him.
Justin Durant is out this week with an ankle injury. Russell Allen replaces him and saw time in the nickel last week. That’s the nail in the coffin for Kirk Morrison’s LB2 value this year and makes him a matchup play only. Against the Eagles frequent spread offense, start Morrison only if you’re confident that LeSean McCoy gets a very heavy workload today.
Stewart Bradley is back this week. The Jags don’t look like the greatest matchup, but the Eagles have been a little soft up the middle and are on the road. Bradley is safe to get back in your lineup.
LaRon Landry is on the injury report as questionable, but practiced fully all week. Four players who practiced fully all week are listed questionable and there are no probable players. It would be a major surprise if Landry is inactive.
Justin Tuck was added to the injury list Friday with a shoulder problem, but it’s not expected to keep him out. It might be enough to give Osi Umenyiora and Mathias Kiwanuka more DE snaps and could mess with the Big Base v more traditional lineup projections. I think we’re more likely to see the Giants of Week 1 rather than Week 2, unless they can get ahead of Tennessee early.
Clint Session is out again this week with a hamstring injury. Kavell Connor likely starts again for him, but it’s possible that we see Pat Angerer more this week. Gary Brackett fully practiced Thursday and Friday. Phillip Wheeler may get an extra snap or three, but the Colts are likely to play dime against the Broncos’ spread offense. Despite the ankle injury last week, Robert Mathis continued to play nearly all of the defensive snaps.
Anthony Smith practiced fully Thursday and Friday, but is listed questionable. There’s been no indication of whether or not Courtney Greene has overtaken Smith for the job and I’ll try to have the lineup posted as soon as I get it. Don’t be shocked if Smith is starting.
Stephen Cooper was limited all week. He’s expected to play, but reports suggest that the Chargers will rotate their linebackers and ease Cooper back in this week. None of the three are great starts this week. Kevin Burnett is probably the best bet as the only sure every-down backer.
Lance Briggs has been limited in practice this week, but is expected to play.
Darrelle Revis is out this week. Kyle Wilson could be an intriguing play, but the Dolphins won’t shy away from Antonio Cromartie, who’s probably the best bet in the NYJ secondary this week.
The Titans should have William Hayes (not on the injury report) back this week, but Jacob Ford is out. Still plenty of rotational snaps for Derrick Morgan and Jason Babin. Tony Brown might see less time this week, though he was able to practice fully on Friday.
Erik Coleman did not practice again this week. He’s listed questionable but expect William Moore to play again. He’ll see much better tackle opportunity, albeit behind three strong linebackers, and it’ll be a good test to see where he is in the longer term.
Antwan Odom was limited all week with a wrist injury. Jonathan Fanene is out with a hamstring injury and Frostee Rucker is questionable with a toe problem. If Odom cannot go, Michael Johnson will see lots of snaps at RDE and is an excellent upside play against Carolina.
Takeo Spikes didn’t practice all week with a knee problem. Navorro Bowman filled in during the second half last week and took on blocks better than his scouting report suggested. He played Spikes’ SILB slot, which likely means that Patrick Willis remains the WILB down the road rather than having to pull a Ray Lewis.
Both Champ Bailey and Andre Goodman are questionable this week. The Colts could be ahead early and running the ball again. If you’re desperate, Mario Haggan might work as a LB4 in tackle-heavy leagues.
Tyler Brayton was back at practice this week and is probable. Everette Brown was getting a lot of pressure as a near every-down player, but he’ll slide back into a situational role if Brayton is able to play.
Channing Crowder practiced this week, but not with the first team. More Tim Dobbins and Bobby Carpenter again this week.
Cedric Griffin is very close and could return this week with Chris Cook questionable as well. Keep an eye on his progress, but he should be a solid start soon.
