What's up with the Bear's D? (1 Viewer)

The last 2 games they are giving up 350 yards per game and a bit above 5 yards per carry.

Is this going to be a trend or is it just their D getting a "market correction" after playing the Bills, Carolina, Seattle, Washington, 3rd string Dolphins QB?

Why would someone care how many yards they give up?And before some responds with "my league counts yards against", let me save you the time and tell you that your league is stupid now

Don't get your panties in a bunch. No need to attempt to be an internet tough guy. It is hilarious that a poster with the name "Limp Ditka" is calling anyone stupid...lolMy league does not count yards. I am worried about the last 2 games because when they play good teams the next few weeks (not the Bills or Panthers of Thigpen at QB) I don't want those yards to become 35 point games. They only had 2 Sacks and No turnovers. Don't need the Jets and Pats rolling up a bunch of points on them in the fantasy playoffs.

Did I really call someone stupid? Gonna need some help with that.

It was a crappy response to a perfectly legitimate question. If you don't like the topic, don't post and derail the discussion.

Anyone have any intelligent insight without being overly sensitive about their hometown team?

Are the big chunks on the ground the past 2 games due to over pursuing? Are LB not filling? Are tackles just being missed? Just need some thought from someone who watched the game?

I'll make sure I PM you before I respond to something next time.

they gave up a few big plays, one of which was a 50 yard run. That alone added 2ypc to the rushing average. They have up over 250 in the first half, got pissed, and gave up only 46 yards in the entire 2nd half. They can play. Don't worry about them.

It's the astroturf

Defense has always given up lots of yards. They give up alot of the underneath stuff, try to avoid the long ball, and stiffen up in the red zone. Its been the system since Lovie has been here.

Bears D is fine. They played a high powered Philly offense last week and played a bad 1st half against Detroit this week. They only allowed 49 yards and 3 points in the 2nd half this week, and that was because they turned the ball over on their own 10yd line. Not to worry. The defense can't dominate the entire game every week.

I'm a Bears homer and have them on my fantasy roster. I will not be playing them against New England. I give the Bears about a 25% chance to win the game and a 0% chance to shut down the Patriots. The Bears D has good weeks when it plays mediocre offenses and can force turnovers and get the occasional return TD. I don't expect Brady to throw a bunch of picks nor do I expect the Pats to be punting alot. Unfortunately I expect the Pats to be kicking off alot. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I'm rolling with Seattle against Arizona.

Good catch. SF, Arizona, it's all the same when you're starting a D against them.

What do you guys think about Week 14? Should I with the Bears D against the Patriots?
I've been rolling with Chicago most of the year, but I'm sitting them this week for Cleveland at Buffalo.

Killed me in my Championship Game

Scored only 2 friggin' pts vs the Stanton-lead Lions...

Not one turnover, and i lost by less than one pt!

Bears D last 3 games:

392 yards per game, 121 rushing yards per game, 27.3 ppg given up, and 1 total turnover.

They sure looked good when they were playing the Panthers, Seahawks, Redskins, Bills, etc....
