I told my son at the time that this was a terrible decision. It ended up being the game-losing call by Payton.Don't like the FG there... but you do need 2 scores to win. I think I let Brees try and get the score tied, else pin Seattle at the 3.
Parody is alive and well in the NFL.
Yeah, but those TOs were eff-ups. Cover the ball better, execute better, and those TOs don't happen.Imjuries are just random lightning bolts rained down by the FB gods. At least the 2009 NFCG Vikes suited up basically a full roster (anyone missing besides EJ Henderson?).Not as bad as 5 turnovers last year for our excuse when we doubled Saints offense..
still don't think Lynch was worth a 3rd cheeseheads?![]()
Uh, I don't think I ever typed that.Parody is alive and well in the NFL.![]()
I bet it doesn't sting as much as having the Giants shove it up our backside in 07 though.Saints confirmed for worst defending champions.
In fairness, that was atrocious tackling by New Orleans.still don't think Lynch was worth a 3rd cheeseheads?![]()

Injury didn't do you guys in. A gutless choke job by your defense is the reason you lost.Yeah, but those TOs were eff-ups. Im hoping for them, thats for sure.GO BEARS!![]()
Barry Sanders vs the Bears. The only one that's even remotely close IMO was Lamar Smith vs. Baltimore. If that's not one of the greatest runs then what is?The guy broke like a 1000 tackles to score that 67 yard touchdown.
Yeah, I think the tackling was more bad than the run was good. Not saying it wasn't a good run, but it was AWFUL tackling. In fairness, that was atrocious tackling by New Orleans.still don't think Lynch was worth a 3rd cheeseheads?![]()

Well, I guess if you can blame injuries, it deflects from what an atrocious effort it was. I guess I'd feel better losing to a losing team with that perspective.I'm actually somewhat OK with this. They were never going to win the championship with all of these injuries, so at least I can sit back and watch the rest of the playoffs with a lower stress level.

Atleast, none of those teams lost to the 7-9 Seatle Seahawks.Atleast they made the playoffs?Saints confirmed for worst defending champions.
Of course it was an atrocious effort and that's definitely why we lost. But even if we had blown them out, I still don't think we could have beaten the better teams in the NFC without a running game. Pierre was instrumental in the Atlanta win. Without him we were toast next week anyway.Well, I guess if you can blame injuries, it deflects from what an atrocious effort it was. Yup. See also "Jordan's Bulls under Doug Collins" and "The 2005-06 Lakers". FB is a team game.60 passes for Brees? wow
Well, if that makes you feel better being historically embarrassed like that...Of course it was an atrocious effort and that's definitely why we lost. I told my wife. You onside kick against the Colts but you don't go for it here.I told my son at the time that this was a terrible decision. It ended up being the game-losing call by Payton.Don't like the FG there... but you do need 2 scores to win. I think I let Brees try and get the score tied, else pin Seattle at the 3.
All teams have injuries this time of year fwiw. But whatever helps you sleep at night.Of course it was an atrocious effort and that's definitely why we lost. Injuries compromised all three phases for the Saints. Everyone thinks it was just RBs ... not so. Noticed how starting WRs were returning kicks (horribly)?Injury didn't do you guys in. Either by design or accident that's brilliant!Parody is alive and well in the NFL.![]()
You can be embarrassed if you want, but I'm choosing not to be. I think the game we played last February will be more remembered than this one.Well, if that makes you feel better being historically embarrassed like that...Of course it was an atrocious effort and that's definitely why we lost. Niners went 3-6 in 1982 strike-shortened season.Saints confirmed for worst defending champions.
I noticed at least 80 missed tackles. Gutless.Injuries compromised all three phases for the Saints. Everyone thinks it was just RBs ... not so. I didn't blame the injuries for this loss. And yeah, not worrying about a team that was going to lose next week anyway will definitely help me sleep at night. All teams have injuries this time of year fwiw. It was a five-point loss, not a thirty-five point loss. While the physical effort let the team down situationally, I actually think the Seahawks won the game more on the mental end -- too many WRs running free mid-game. Carroll and his OC exploited something in the Saints' D (loss of Jenkins and A Brown? A tip-off tendency?) to free guys up. Gregg Williams had no answer ... or if he did, Harper couldn't execute them.Well, I guess if you can blame injuries, it deflects from what an atrocious effort it was.I'm actually somewhat OK with this. Nice level of fan investment there. At least the guys with bags on their heads cared.I didn't blame the injuries for this loss. And yeah, not worrying about a team that was going to lose next week anyway will definitely help me sleep at night.
paging bigbottom...Just goes to show you that absolutely anything can happen on any given sunday, or saturday, for that matter. So what's more embarrassing, the NFL having a 7-9 team in the playoffs, or the defending champs losing to them?
Parody is alive and well in the NFL.
worst playoff team ever beating the defending superbowl champions.
I love it!!
Not all injury situations are created equal. Did your team have to play with half an offensive playbook? Or without a decent return man?All teams have injuries this time of year fwiw. But whatever helps you sleep at night.

If we hadn't won last year, I would be livid right now. But life is different after a championship... I've already seen what a championship team looks like and could tell this 2010 version was going to fall short. I'm sure Patriots, Steelers, and Colts fans can tell the same about their teams year to year.Nice level of fan investment there. At least the guys with bags on their heads cared.I didn't blame the injuries for this loss. And yeah, not worrying about a team that was going to lose next week anyway will definitely help me sleep at night.
i liked the sign in the game SEA DAT WE DATEat crow national media HATERZ. Way to BEAT DOWN THEM SAINTS. Beast Mode!
Whatever helps with the cognitive dissonance. I like the Saints fans coming in blaming injuries and saying they don't really care. Not all injury situations are created equal. Thx classy Saints fans. I'd have been behind your boys if we'd lost. Still in utter shock. No way Clipboard Jesus wins this one. Nothing else to say but great game even with no sound at work.Congrats Seahawks. This is not what the NFL competition committee wanted to see. Also, Saints please draft a running back that's got some toughness .Roman Harper was awful. But, it's sure better than the paper bag days.
You can be embarrassed if you want, but I'm choosing not to be. I think the game we played last February will be more remembered than this one.
We have had plenty of injuries all year. Did you ever play without your starting QB? Your best runstopping DE? 10 different starting Oline combination? I could go down a long list as well but the bottom line is they are pathetic excuses. No team is 100%. lol u bro.Not all injury situations are created equal. No dissonance here, cobalt. I'm not thinking two different things simultaneously.Whatever helps with the cognitive dissonance. I like the Saints fans coming in blaming injuries and saying they don't really care.
OUCH!still don't think Lynch was worth a 3rd cheeseheads?
