Having A-Rod, Martin, Posada, Bautista, and Kemp on the same team = a glorious day. 7 homeruns!
His minor league stats kind of tell us he's gonna be a 20-25 HR guy but he has extra base attributes having 63 doubles in the minors. His total line is pretty consistent (.304/.375/.487) and I think that will translate to the majors. I think with him if he is hitting for average he's comfortable and the power will come. Not real bullish on him being a big HR hitter these first couple of years but I think he can really be a good run producer and thus a viable option at CI.Brett Wallace hitting .324 after tonight's game. Only 1 HR but it's nice to see him hitting at the MLB level.

So he went from catcher to pitcher?Cool story locally with the Jacksonville Suns (Marlins AA). Chris Hatcher was a good-field no-hit catcher with them last year. This year, he's a relief pitcher for them. Early returns are pretty good (very small sample size). 7.2 IP in 6 games, 0 ER, 8K, 1 BB, 3 H. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?pos=P&sid=t564&t=p_pbp&pid=501822

Ubaldo gives up the first hit for either team in the bottom of the fifth. Unfortunately for him he had walked the bases full before the 3-run triple.Ubaldo Jimenez - Josh Johnson matchup today. No score in bot of third. Josh Johnson is dealing again.
Dice-K is such a strange pitcher. Guy can go from looking like an ace to a below average starter in an instant. I did, and was criticized for doing so. Go Shields!James Shields shut down the Jays in a CG victory. It's early, but it looks like he's going to reward those who bought low on him after his terrible 2010 season.

x1000 It's a close race between who I'm more tired of seeing, Wilson or that Jane Lynch chick, the dyke form that glee tv show. That's enough now, we get it, you're weird and quirky, and try too hard to be funny, your 15 minutes is now up.'Grahamburn said:Brian Wilson: Enough with the beard schtick. He got into Humber'sGavin Floyd is dominating the Yankees. 8 innings, 3 hits, 1 walk, 10 strikeouts. 2 of the hits were homeruns but that's still impressive. He get into Arod's stash?
He's shown flashes of this numerous times. The only thing that's odd about this is that it's happening in AprilGavin Floyd is dominating the Yankees. 8 innings, 3 hits, 1 walk, 10 strikeouts. 2 of the hits were homeruns but that's still impressive. He get into Arod's stash?
I'm not surprised to see him flash talent...but I'm surprised to see him flash so much of it against a team that can hit as well as NY. But I'm always happy to see the Yankees lose so go Floyd! He's shown flashes of this numerous times.
