Who drafted Peyton? (1 Viewer)

Ok so i picked peyton rnd3 & I'm sure there's many others out there in a similar situation. Unfortunately my backup was hasselbeck.

What deals have you done? How long are you willing to hold Peyton if he doesn't play?

I made a deal, so traded welker/helu for stafford/woodhead, was that the right move?

I think you pick up Collins, hope you have a decent backup, and hope he comes back sooner rather than later.

I took him in the 4th in the FBG survivor, made sure I backed him up with Stafford.

Took him in the 5th in another league and backed him up with Roetlesberger.

Anyone who did not go with a back up plan taking Manning :wall:

Got him in the 5th round last week. Backed him up with Stafford. Would like to get Collins as insurance but he probably won't be available for my waiver wire as I have the 11th pick next week (drafted 2nd). Looking to either trade WR depth for Fitzpatrick or Sanchez or stand pat and pick up Hill on waivers and go all in on the Detroit passing game and hope for a little more than half a season out of Manning.

We drafted on Sunday evening right before the 4-5 week rumor came out and I grabbed him at 4.01. With passing TDs at 6 points in this league, I felt that the upside of getting a top QB on a PPG basis was too much to pass up. Now I was able to get Flacco as well which I am happy with being my QB until Manning returns. On a PPG basis I am in no hurry to dump him if he can perform in the second half of the year and into fantasy playoffs.

Drafted him in the 5th round on Saturday night. Luckily I quickly backed him up with Stafford. Nervous, but if Stafford stays healthy I think I'll be ok.

Very concerned about a dynasty league I own him in, though. Depth behind him is Ryan Fitz, Cam Newton, Gabbert. Pretty ugly. Currently considering trading Bradshaw for Roethlisberger and a pick, I'm in position to contend this year and don't really want to waste a season on Manning's neck.

Right after news hit Sunday, had a local draft here in Miami. Guy went Peyton/Wayne on the 2/3 turn out of the 3 hole, I was more then happy to say nice pick nice pick as I was in the 4 hole. I acted surprised later when someone else thought it would be fun to torment him and started reading news blurbs about Manning from his iPhone in the later rounds. Now if that doesn't show my Hawk feathers nothing will.

Took him in my final draft of season on Sunday. 12 team .5 ppr 6pt all tds. He fell to me in the 2nd half of the 4th Romo went just ahead of him.

News got texted to a league mates phone about a hour after i took him. I have Bradford as a backup so hopefully he has a big 2nd season.

I, like others, took Manning and backed him up with Stafford. I felt that if I took Manning I had to make sure I got a quality back up just in case the worst did happen. I believe Stafford is the greatest value at QB and possibly of all players so he was the logical pair. As a matter of fact I took Stafford pretty early (7.04) just to ensure he was my backup. Others I had targeted were Eli and Freeman but I only would have taken them in the 9th or later. I think the smart thing to do this year if you drafted Manning was to ensure a solid back up to get you at least through the 1st 3 weeks of the season. As much as I love Manning in the 4th, I just don't feel like I can trust his situation enough to carry my team all year.

I still got him the latest I have seen at 7.7 in the FBG Survivor draft. Backed him up with Bradford and Colt McCoy since no moves allowed. So not happy but as long as he is back by week 5, I should be okay but hated doing the pick than and still hate it today

If you can get Manning at 7.7 you take him and thank your lucky stars.

Drafted him at 5.9 in one league and 6.3 in another both 12 team passing TD's 5pts. There was talk at the time that he may very likely start week 1 and the value seemed to good to pass up. Unfortunately, I was only able to back him up with Cassel, who now apparently has a rib injury and is questionable for week 1. Not sure what to do at this point.

Looks like a common back-up plan ... did the same thing. My "Spidey sense" is that Peyton is out for a long while, perhaps even the entire season.Stafford, himself, is an injury risk so I'll have to play waivers a good bit, as well.

highly competitive 16 team 16 roster salary league ....... I used 28% of my drafting money to buy him (I have Orton)

I just traded him yesterday for Cutler based on I have week 2 % 4 double header weeks (we play a 16 game schedule) and I can't go weeks 1-4 with just Orton in case he gets pulled for Tebow or injured or something crazy plus I have WR Collie and RB Carter ....... too many INDY players

Sucks ........ gotta do what you gotta do

I took him in my Dynasty and paid out the #### to get him....but my backup is Big Ben so I can deal with him out for a few weeks... I hope :football:

Sure. If his league awards points for coaches.
