Moore as someone that can win a league for you giving he was a waiver add with high wr2-low wr1 potential.
see, thats exactly what im talking about. dude is a high wr2 really? well, so is torrey smith then.
Would it make you feel better if people said he was a low WR2? What's the difference? Do you want people to advise that you cut him for a different WR2? Who can you get in Free Agency right now? If you did drink the kool aid on him, are you looking for those who convinced you to reimburse you for last week somehow? Maybe we could pass the hat for your or something because you seem really offended by Denarius Moore. You have all of the same resources available to you that anyone else on the internet has, so don't blame others when you make a move. That's on you, don't be a baby. Also, don't make the mistake of benching him this weekend. I'm not.
nice strawman. im not blaming anyone. im saying it told u so. also saying you are still wrong.

CBS:

News: Raiders WR Denarius Moore showed up to practice Wednesday sporting a walking boot on his right foot, reports Comcast SportsNet California. Oakland hosts Chicago in Week 12.

Analysis: The Raiders could already be without WRs Darrius Heyward-Bey and Jacoby Ford due to injuries Week 12, and now Moore might join them on the sidelines. Carson Palmer might end up throwing to the likes of Chaz Schilens and Louis Murphy. We will keep you posted about Moore's status. He had a disappointing one-catch performance Week 11, but if he active Week 12, then consider him a No. 3 Fantasy WR.

Good lord. This guy is unbelievable. Not sure what to do with him now. I think this would be the 4th time I've dropped him this season. Sheesh.

No Thanksgiving surprises

Thursday, November 24th, 2011 at 10:24 am in Oakland Raiders.

No sign of Darren McFadden or Jacoby Ford as the Raiders completed the early portion of practice Thursday and began the team session.

Wide receivers Darrius Heyward-Bey and Denarius Moore were present, but neither was moving around much other than tossing a football with wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal.

Defensive tackle Richard Seymour wasn’t at practice, and could end up in the same role as he did against Minnesota _ as a defensive tackle in pass rush situations. Defensive end Lamarr Houston was suited up and on the field.

Wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh, who was absent Wednesday on maternity leave, was back on the field.

Running back Taiwan Jones was slowly making his way to the field, not suited up, making him an unlikely participant against Chicago.

Brian McCann was fielding kickoffs. Also fielding a few was Tyvon Branch, who held that role for a time as a rookie. Branch then gave way to Rock Cartwright.

A few post-practice notes later . . .

Take this for what it's worth, from Tuesday's chat with beatwriter Steve Corkran:

11:58 [Comment From AlbinatorAlbinator: ]Cork,…how are Taiwan Jones & D.Moore doing in their rehab? Will we see them in Miami?Tuesday November 29, 2011 11:58 Albinator11:58 Steve Corkran: Both are coming along well and should be healthy enough to play against the Dolphins on Sunday.
ETA:
12:50 [Comment From madturk madturk: ] Do we get D Moore and J Ford back this weekend Steve? Tuesday November 29, 2011 12:50 madturk 12:50 Steve Corkran: Moore, probably. Ford, not likely at all.

Thank you Raiderfan. This info is key for me as the flex spot for week 13 is currently occupied by Santana Moss and Revis Island. Need a win to secure my playoff spot.

What are your thoughts about playing Denarious first week back after injury?

Moss plays in the slot much of the time now, I'm not sure that Revis will follow him there, if they even bother to try to shut him down.

I think you need to hear more reports throughout the week that verify Moore being ready, and Ford being out. He's become a "boom-bust" type WR based on past performance, whether or not that's fair. But when healthy and given targets, D Moore's made the most of them. The safe play is probably SMoss, but if you feel like your opponent has the deck stacked in his favor, I'd roll with Moore and see what happens. Good luck.

24 catches on 54 targets. not sure id consider that "making the most of them."
He's not a possession receiver. He's a game-breaker who catches the homerun throws and has plenty of YAC ability. What he's done with his catches speaks louder than anything your typical high percentage move-the-chains receiver.

still, thats a pretty atrocious catch rate. compare to other deep threats like vjax, djax, wallace, torrey, knox, floyd.

i know, i know. it was all campbell's fault. and the coaching staff. and i dont deny that he could improve, and almost certainly should. i just think what he has shown thus far, is being viewed with some rose colored glasses.

And also throw in Kyle Boller as their starting QB for the better parts of 2 games, and as you said the coaching scheme. But the crux of the argument of Moore's value lies not in catch percentages of a very up and down, inconsistent QB crew, but in the developing chemistry that he is working on with Carson Palmer. The talent is there, and no one is questioning that. Going forward, it's hard to project what that means for fantasy, but I think that last poor outing was mostly due to the foot. I'd throw that game out. If he's healthy, he's his QB's favorite weapon on a potent offense. That's something to hang your hat on. But the health is a big issue, no doubt. It's a judgment call for anyone that has him, and everyone's level of risk is different depending on what they need to make the playoffs. He's a swing for the fences and maybe-hit-a-homerun or maybe-whiff type.

Very good to hear that Moore has returned to practice. Seems to me he works much harder out there than Murphy (although I credit Murphy's one big catch in the Bears game).

We go through this every year don't we? Every season members of the media hype up one player that Was taken late in the hopes that he comes out of nowhere and performs in the mold of Marques Colston (7th rnd pick). Havent we learned by now not to latch onto these players? Does the name Victor Cruz mean anything to you? Denarius Moore has next to no chance of being fantasy relevant if he was on a good passing team, so what makes you think that he'll be relevant on a bad fantasy team? Come on. These media members are always on the lookout for the next greatest thing so they can say that they were the first to report about it. Don't fall into the trap! Denarius Moore is not draftable in any redraft league. You're better off just forgetting he exists.
Yes. Yes it does.

Updating previous items, the Raiders listed Denarius Moore (ankle) has having had "no practice" on Wednesday. All of the Raiders' beat reporters on hand were under the impression Moore practiced because he was spotted on the field in his helmet and pads. "Yeah, it was just to really see where I was standing at, as far as this week," Moore said. "And so we’re still taking it day by day, see how it’s going to go." It does sound like Moore has a reasonable chance to play at Miami.Source: San Francisco ChronicleNov 30 - 5:40 PM
guess he didnt practice

Update: doesn't look good.

Another day, another practice without running back Darren McFadden, wide receivers Jacoby Ford and Denarius Moore, defensive tackle Richard Seymour, defensive end Jarvis Moss and middle linebacker Rolando McClain. At this point, it’s looking as if McFadden, Ford, Moore and Moss won’t be able to play against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Seymour is expected to do what he has done the past three weeks, play on a limited basis without practicing all week....Moore is on the practice field, as is kicker Sebastian Janikowski. However, neither player is doing much, other than watching from up close.Follow me on Twitter: @corkonthenfl

Ok, let's try this again. Both Moore and Ford practice. Who's ready to start Moore (or Ford) for the playoffs?

Denarius Moore (ankle) and Jacoby Ford (foot) both returned to Raiders practice on Friday. They're both shaping up as game-time decisions. According to beat reporter Steve Corkran, Moore and Ford's work was limited to "drills with team trainers," indicating that they will be listed as "limited" participants and questionable at best on the injury report. Moore and Ford were spotted running in "short bursts." We'll have another update before the day is over.

I am starting J. Stewart over him at the flex but I am heading into a bye next week so I have some wiggle room.

Have the Raiders ever said exactly what is wrong with Moore? They say 'foot' on the injury report, but I've never heard if it is a sprain, a broken bone or something else.

ETA: Ok, I see they listed 'ankle' now. Never mind. :bag:

So, who is rollin' with him?Tempted to throw him out there instead of B. Lloyd.
Oh don't tempt me!Tempt me.Ugh.
I'm tempted as well (biased raiders fan on top of everything else) with my other WR2 options being Lloyd/Washington/M Williams TB/Breaston - I feel like starting him is the definition of getting too cute in the playoffs though. Of all the guys listed I feel like he or maybe washington are the only guys with the ability to explode though. And having Roddy White put up 35 points on me already I could use a huge game from my WR2.

i am thinking of flexing him (or Meachem). Big underdog this week and if he starts and OAK plays catch up, maybe he gets 8+ targets. I loved the rapport with Palmer earlier, i just worry it might have been lost with Moore's inability to practice. Having watched DHB the past couple of games, he doesn't do Palmer any favors by not fighting for the ball. That may go a long way in factoring who Palmer wants to throw to...

Need some kind of evidence that Moore is going to play the usual amount of snaps. The last quote from him on punt returns doesn't inspire confidence.

Simlar story here (Roddy scored 30 against me, .5 PPR scoring for WRs in this league)... At WR2, I'm mulling over Steve Smith (HATE the matchup vs. Jonathon Joseph @Hous), MWTB, Washington or Moore... I agree: I feel like, this week at least, Moore & Washington are the guys w/ the most upside from the options I have for WR2. Hate rolling the dice during playoffs unless forced too--but I feel forced to take a chance after what Roddy did.

Moore practiced Wed thru Friday right?

Was he limited?

I do remember a quote out there somewhere saying he looked pretty good.

Late game makes this problematic. If I sit Lloyd need a Moore alternative.
