sorry dude, I don't live in the greater Denver area. Can't really help you.
ever been to a game there?sorry dude, I don't live in the greater Denver area. Can't really help you.
Unrein started camp with the first team when Bannan was hurt...I'm taking that as the staff is high on him this year. obviously, it's a dynamic situation, but that's why I had him in there. Garland - what can I say...I'm a sucker for a feel-good story.RE: Harris @ RT: I hope it happens too. However, when Franklin got concussed, they had Clark stepping in to the 1st team. Not sure where Harris is. I'd love to see Franklin @ G though regardless of Harris. I'd feel much better about the interior line w/ Franklin there. I'm guessing it's easier to scheme around a poor tackle than a poor guard, in terms of short yardage rushing and dealing with A-gap blitzes.Vickerson and Bannan will make the roster. One of Garland or Unrein will not.I hope Harris takes the RT spot and Franklin goes to LG with Beadles serving as backup to both G/T. If Moore can live up to expectations I think our safeties are fine, but that is an assumption.
Probably the best quarter of offensive football I have seen in the preseason this year. I was disappointed that Manning didnt play more.Starting O and D looked really, really good yesterday. Heck, they looked really good vs Seattle too. Right now, I'm feeling good about the starting 22 vs most teams in the league.
Unfortunately, the depth is pretty terrible. I don't think Denver is particularly deep at any position. IMO the deepest position is *gasp* DL.
IF this team can stay healthy, it will be able to go deep into the playoffs.
Manning was looking really crisp last night. McGahee running with power and patience. WR's were making catches. Front 7 were getting nice pressure on Alex Smith and did a good job of bottling up the run. Outside of the V Davis TD, the D was really stout.
I was very encouraged by what I saw yesterday.

Have fun in Colorado! My wife and I went to Lambeau last year, got the tickets on ebay. I don't know if that's the best place or not, but it worked. Enjoy your trip.hello bronco fans!me and the boys are coming to denver for the raider game. happy happy joy joy!! last year it was green bay(ouch) the manning signing, made this years choice a no brainer.and if anyone has any insight on obtaining game tickets, where to sit, where to pregame etc, we'd greatly appreciate it!thanks all and we're super excited to come into denver and experience a bronco game. should be fun
cornhole anyone? we're staying at the convention center hyatt.
Lot's of ways to get tickets, I would probably look to buy from a reputable seller. I have set anywhere from the 8th row to 6 rows from the top. The way the stadium is built even the upper deck seems to be right on the field. The upper deck is very steep, so it really depends on how much money you want to spend. Get seats on the west side so you don't have to set in the sun. Weather should be perfect at that time, but bring clothes in case it isn't, Denver can get snow in September. Lot of tailgating in the parking lots and it's somewhat close to L0DO and Downtown so there would be many places to go pregame. Most of the places are on the east side of I-25 while the stadium is on the west side of 25. I know there are some bars near but I can't think of them right this minute. Raider week has been milder then in the past, but it is the Raiders and you are in Denver so act accordingly and you should be fine inside.Edited to add: Bring a jacket because even if it's nice during the day, the nights will cool down to where you will want a jacket.hello bronco fans!me and the boys are coming to denver for the raider game. happy happy joy joy!! last year it was green bay(ouch) the manning signing, made this years choice a no brainer.and if anyone has any insight on obtaining game tickets, where to sit, where to pregame etc, we'd greatly appreciate it!thanks all and we're super excited to come into denver and experience a bronco game. should be fun

We did lambeau last year too!!! We went through eBay as well. So far the tickets in Denver are some of the most expensive I have seen. $200 just to get in. They should go down as we get closer.....Have fun in Colorado! My wife and I went to Lambeau last year, got the tickets on ebay. I don't know if that's the best place or not, but it worked. good luck with that. Cheapest tix on stubhub right now are $144.Game week people!!!Anyone have any input as to what to do, where to go etc?? Flying in Saturday. We still need 2 tickets as well.
There's a zillion tickets for sale. I have one dude with club seats that'll sell them for $250. Not seeing a problem. Just exploring my options, if someone on here has/knows about some seats for sale, let me know. Someone upset about being 1-2??? We're not!!good luck with that. now way. should be 3-3 by they bye, and then the schedule opens up. Broncos lost by less than a TD to two of the best teams in the league - no shame in that. Frankly, it should have been obvious that there would be some rough patches early - Manning working through the rust, JDR implementing a new defense, etc. Plus the lack of depth, especially on the lines, was a concern - losing Kuper and then Warren, has really impacted things.Good news is that Kuper will be back soon - that will really help solidify the OL.This is a near-must-win game now though, if Denver has post-season aspirations. gotta win the division games at home. There's a zillion tickets for sale. Mile High Station is right by the stadium and close to a lightrail exit. Near the stadium MHS is your best bet for food and drinks.Bumpity. Found out it was Octoberfest this weekendand that the light rail will take us to the stadium. Shark pool got anything for me? Where to eat, drink etc?And if any of you are going to the game, corn hole?
yup. couldn't help thinking that if we had signed, say, Curtis Lofton or someone like that instead of re-upping Mays, we'd be a legit contender.still encouraged, despite the loss. We all knew that this was a work in progress - Manning has made strides and looks like he is on top of his game, and I am seeing some things better on defense than last year - hell, the pats hung 41 and 45 on us last year, keeping them to 31 is certainly a step in the right direction. I gotta believe that next time we play them (and I do think we will see NE again), they will have a better handle on dealing with the up-tempo no-huddle.wtf is Joe Mays doing on the field in nickle & dime situations? And Beay Beigh/McGahee, hang on to the freaking ball, guy.
A win this week against a beatable SD team, though, and we are fine.
With the exception of Miller, this LB corps is awful, though.![]()
In look at their schedule I think anything less than 11 wins is a failure. I am sure Baltimore will be favored in Week 15 and SD is favored this week by 1, but considering that's a road game, the Broncos would be favored on a neutral field. The Saints will be a tough as will Cincinnati, but nothing else really jumps out at me as a particularly tough game.@ San Diegoyup. couldn't help thinking that if we had signed, say, Curtis Lofton or someone like that instead of re-upping Mays, we'd be a legit contender.still encouraged, despite the loss. There is no shame in losing to HOU, @ATL and @NE - these are quality teams. All it means, so far, is that Denver isn't good enough to go anywhere and beat an any team. Broncos aren't that good, but I don't know anyone who thought they were.
There are still 11 games to go, and the toughest part of the schedule is behind us. out of the next 11 games, only one is really scary - @BAL, week 15. Besides that, every other game is very winnable. 11-5 or 10-6 are still very realistic expectations, IMO.
x2I was even texting f-bombs to my Charger fan friend.I'm pretty sure I set a new personal best last night in terms of dropping f-bombs per hour. It got better though.
Well said. I was so irritated at halftime because it was 24-0 and they had not played poorly, but had just been killed by two ST fumbles and a pick 6 as a result of some WR I've never heard of running the wrong route. Personally, I think it could be scary what this offense does once they get to the lesser teams on the schedule. And once they figure out how to start quickly. I think Fox needs to take the reigns off of the offense early and just let Peyton come out running the no-huddle from the start.I'm pretty sure I set a new personal best last night in terms of dropping f-bombs per hour. It got better though. Can't shake the feeling right now that Denver is a few mistakes from being an elite team right now - an elite offense at least. When this offense is humming, it can be as good as any in the league. Just have to work out the silly stuff - WR & QB need to be on the same page w/ route adjustments, need to stop the fumbling, need to not trip over own feet, need to catch the ball on 4th down when you are wide open...Bronco D did a hell of a job last night. When you get down to it, SD had one good scoring drive the whole game. Chargers had a pick-6, so the D really only gave up 17, including 10 points netted from Chargers being spotted the ball in the red zone twice. Beyond that, 4 int's, 2 fumble recoveries, and 2 TD's. Fantastic.
I think Fox needs to take the reigns off of the offense early and just let Peyton come out running the no-huddle from the start.
No doubt about that. I've been looking forward to seeing Von Doom teeing off on QB's ever since we got Peyton. Man, it's a shame we haven't had a chance to see more of this team playing with a lead.I'm hearing chatter about possibly moving DJ to the middle when he is re-instated. What would you guys think about that?I think Fox needs to take the reigns off of the offense early and just let Peyton come out running the no-huddle from the start. It would play into the defense's hands as well. The 2 games where they played with a lead for any decent amount of time (Oakland and the end of the SD game), they were really able to unleash Von Doom.
yeah, that's been really frustrating so far...especially since the Broncos havent' recovered any of their own fumbles. Per NFL.com, Denver has 11 fumbles, 10 of them lost. If fumble recovery is a 50/50 proposition, the odds of 10 out of 11 fumbles is roughly 1:170...wow.Well said, moleculo.![]()
One thing that needs to change: McGahee's fumbles. Three fumbles this year so far (all of them lost fumbles) is too many. Given how explosive Hillman is looking, if he can learn the offense and know where to be and how to pass block when Peyton is throwing, he is gonna get a lot more playing time, especially if McGahee keeps putting the ball on the ground.
Hillman had two carries knocked out of his arm last night as well- luckily they were out of bounds or after he was considered down. Both of them need to be a little more careful.Holliday's getting better as a return guy too- solid yards gained after first contact...maybe just a bit too excited to run out of the end zone though.Well said, moleculo.![]()

thanks for posting. best-case scenario, imo. That looked really bad when it happened.status on Kuper:The doc and team were worried the ligament were torn and there was some involvement with the hardware from his surgery. After reading the MRI they all agreed that surgery wasn't needed and he will be out 2-3 weeks.
Great news. Kupe is a major upgrade over Man Ram and will be needed when we play Houston in January.thanks for posting. best-case scenario, imo. Moreno has ball security problems too. I would expect more Lance Ball if they don't just get Hillman more involved.I dunno guys... Broncos are shaping up much better than I could have ever imagined.I don't think there's a team in the league clearly better than the Broncos right now. Manning has got to be the front-runner for MVP, leading the league in rating, QBR, and top 5 in TD, yards, completion %, and Y/A. Von Miller is a legit DPOY candidate - a 1/2 game back from Watt in sacks, and hes' got to be near the league lead in tackles for a loss. Von has been nothing but disruptive in every game. This team is putting points at a top 5 O rate, and the D is morphing into a top 5 D. Just for fun, special teams has had returns for TD's in consecutive weeks. The biggest flaw right now is the running game and McGahee putting the ball on the ground. That's got to stop, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Moreno back in the mix next week.I think it's entirely possible this team runs the table. 12/16 game vs Baltimore looks to be really important - could secure Broncos a 1st round bye. That would be huge - I'd much rather face NE in Mile High than Foxboro.
Lance Ball has ball security issues that exceed both McGahee and Moreno (on a fumble-per-touch basis)--at least according to Profootballreference's numbers--and there is nothing very dynamic about him as a RB. Moreno is the better back, imo.BTW, this d has a swagger about it. I like it. Miller and the d seemed to have taken Newton's alleged offseason slight pretty personally and had fun dishing out the hits yesterday. That was a fun win. The O didn't look to be completely in synch all day, yet Denver won going away because the d and STs played very well. The fumble issues have to stop. I think activating Moreno and deactivating Ball should be explored. Ball plays on special teams, but McGahee's fumble issues are really becoming an issue and those are the kind of plays that can derail a team in a close playoff game. Have to get something figured out. With a relatively soft sched the rest of the way, the Broncos should have an opportunity to get a good look at what they have behind Willis and Hillman. The Doom injury is potentially huge, though. Hoping he comes back very quickly.Moreno has ball security problems too. I would expect more Lance Ball if they don't just get Hillman more involved.
Love the D right now - let's hope Doom will be ok. Not even a big deal if he misses a few games, but I want him around by, say, the Ravens game.I know it's still a little early, but this D is as good as any Bronco D I can remember. Certainly the nastiest pass-rush, for starters.Lance Ball has ball security issues that exceed both McGahee and Moreno (on a fumble-per-touch basis)--at least according to Profootballreference's numbers--and there is nothing very dynamic about him as a RB. I pointed out that Ball fumbles more on a per-touch basis than McGahee and Moreno, and that I don't think he does anything particularly special in the run game. That <> being a Moreno supporter. That's the reality. The Broncos know what they have in Moreno, but the same can be said of Ball. They have a high-effort player that can play special teams. Obviously Hillman is the next in line aand I don't suspect too many Bronco fans expect Moreno to be back after the season. He's cheap insurance for the remainder of the season, though, and he's a more dynamic RB than Ball. I think that merits the opportunity to play as the 3rd-string RB. That's all I'm saying.ETA: Dooooooom did not suffer a major injury. Probably questionable for Sunday's tilt vs. SD. This is according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post. The Moreno supporters always come crawling back expecting him to get (yet another) chance. The Broncos know what they have in Moreno. They went for Hillman anyway, and given Moreno's cap hit next year, I don't see any way they keep him. I'd say Hillman and Moreno are the same build-wise, probably the same as receiving options, but Hillman has a little more ball smarts. I'd rather see him get more work if anybody needs to take work away from McGahee.

This is a good point. He's supposed to be old reliable. He's not a guy who's going to break huge runs and he's not particularly good as a receiver out of the backfield. If he's not securing the ball then he's not delivering in the reliability dept. I really do think this is an issue the staff is going to have to monitor down the stretch. Turnovers can be the death knell in a close playoff game. Here's to hoping Willis gets it figured out. Maybe it's a conditioning thing? It seems a lot of his fumbles are occurring late in games (Wild Card game last year, NE game earlier this year, yesterday--off the top of my head). Maybe the staff needs to make a better effort spelling him more during the early parts of the game? Ball security issues aside, McGahee has proven to be the best back on the team. But the fumbles and the late-game mishaps are hard to ignore.Frankly, I'm not sure what McGahee brings to the table right now that Moreno is incapable of.
