2013 draft rankings (1 Viewer)

Tick

Footballguy
When preparing for dynasty rookie drafts, I like to take a look at a lot of other people's rankings. I put some weights on them based on my confidence in the source and put together a weighted average. That's not my final rankings, but it's a good starting point.

Link some rankings and tell us what you think of any others on the list.

I'll maintain the top post in here with links to rankings.

Here's the 2012 version of this thread.

Whitney26's great overview spreadsheet

Rankings:
CBS Sports
National Football Post

Eric Stoner's Spreadsheet

No rankings yet, but I want to check back later to see...

I don't expect these to have deep enough rankings to be useful, but they're here for reference:

I really like reading Pompei and Brugler. Josh Buchanan is best for Small Schoolers
Any idea if the CBS rankings by position are Brugler's or Rang's?
it's an interesting question. I'd say Rang has the most pull but Frank Cooney can change them whenever he wants. Either way they are heavily modeled after BLESTO and National preseason rankings and tend to be a trailing indicator. NFLDS is really solid in terms of consensus among the scouts but will miss out when the Osi Umenioria's of the world go from round 6 to round 2. They will keep guys in their rankings based on outdated information. The Huddle Report is also a good link altho I believe it's a pay site.

That's a fine line. I always want them to rank a guy where you think his talent belongs, not where you think he'll go in the draft. I also don't want people to adjust too heavily based on the combine... but you're implying that they don't even respond to the season as much as they respond to other scouts/rankings, which isn't good either.Either way, I'll be sure to get Brugler's rankings again this year. It's clear from his Twitter feed that he puts in the work.

So is it a "Skill" if you know which gurus to avoid because they do this, or is it "luck"? ;)

Skill IMO. One that most people have, though. There are certainly some clues you can get from the website appearance, social media mentions, comments from other guys in the community, outlier rankings, etc.

I found his big board and overrated/underrated list pretty interesting. Not the 1st time I have found myself agreeing a lot with this guy.

OVERRATED UNDERRATEDQB Mike Glennon Zac DysertRB Andre Ellington Zac StacyWR DeAndre Hopkins Da'Rick RogersTE Zach Ertz Mychal RiveraOT Menelik Watson David QuessenberryINT OL Kyle Long David BakhtiariINT DL John Jenkins AJ FrancisEDGE Bjoern Werner Cornelius WashingtonLB Alec Ogletree Devonte HollomanCB Desmond Trufant Leon McFaddenS Kenny Vaccaro Duke WilliamsAbout the only guy I disagree with is Ogletree being overrated. I am seeing him being ranked below the top 40 now on a lot of lists but I still expect him to be a 1st round pick.
