Oregon up 3 scores the first 7+ mins.

Cal CB down. Poor kid :( Got blocked low and looks like a fairly serious left knee/shin injury. :(

4th and inches down ten with seven minutes left you gotta go for it. Chicken #### move.
Ridiculous. If you're talking about the Wisconsin game.

They were at their own 17. The Buckeyes have a great defense, you don't get it, you give them a gimmee score and now it's a 3 score game with under 5 mins left.

It was the right call.

Got my ### soaked, but had a good time in Fayteville yesterday. It's an odd environment. iIve been in a lot of road stadiums and haven't been in one that gets so loud while their team is on offense. It's really really odd.

What was the read on the Bama/OleMiss game? Ole Miss overrated or Bama turning into a juggernaught?

The Alabama D is beginning to blossom, with some of the youth providing the lift (Eddie Jackson, A'Shawn Robinson...who flipped from Texas last minute). But the OL was still shaky. Not a juggarnaught yet, but we now have 4 easy games in a row to work on the O.

I'll miss Kiffin. He was the anti-Kelly: Ill prepared team who can't overcome their coach's shortcomings.

Terrible showing by Rees yesterday. I saw this coming, which is why I spent the day with family instead of watching that turnover fest. Rees is what he is: a career backup or closer.

It's time to get Malik Zaire some reps. Rees and Hendrix are gone next year and there is no certainty that Golson will return.

Kiffin fired from SC. 1st one bites the dust.
I wonder if he even made it past the plane ride home.

He should have been gone after the ND game last year. And if not then :15 after that bowl game they played vs GT.
Wow - guess not. He was fired at 3:30 in the AM

Who are the USC candidates?
Jack Del Rio- he wants the job badly.

Pat Fitzgerald

James Franklin

Greg Roman (offensive coordinator, 49ers)

Tim DeRuyter (Fresno State)

Here are some names I also hear, but which I doubt are serious:

Bobby Petrino

Jeff Fisher

Mike Reilly

Steve Sarkesian

Chris Petersen

Jeff Fisher

Reportedly he was pulled off the bus by Pat Haden. Kiffin asked the bus to wait, and Haden (or one of his assistants) instructed the bus to keep driving.

The top half seems pretty realistic. Whoever takes it will be in for a rough 2 year start....thanks to Kiffy. Which makes me think the bottom half wouldn't take it.

As much as I dislike Kiffin, this seems like the wrong way to do things.

John Robinson was fired by voice mail.

this goes back to my earlier comments about when to take jobs. No matter how good the job is, timing in college football is extremely important. I heard them say they only had 56 scholarship players last night. That's a massive reduction vs other schools and I think they have one more year of sanctions before they can start building back up. No matter how fast or well you build, you won't have experienced depth for quite a while and that's critical.

Kiffin is a ####### dooshbag and he was also an idiot for taking the job when he did. USC is just not set up for success just yet. I wouldn't want the USC job now. The next guy is also likely to get fired. And it can be a career killer to get fired from a big job like that. A lot of that list are young up and comers who may never get another big chance if they fail at this one. Money and arrogance make the world go round though so I'm sure they'll have no shortage of candidates.

or they need to get a stop then score twice one being a td and get an onside kick in five mins. My scenario puts the game on the line but you have a better than 5% chance of winning if you convert the 80% successful play.

Kiffy also made decisions that delayed the sanctions and effects so he could have 1 successful season. He was all in for a quick win, probably hoping to get a new contract because of it.

And I've posted many times that Kiffins recruiting seems to be smoke and mirrors, and that he wasnt building a successful foundation.

Haden deserves criticism for hiring him to get thru this tough time and letting him make the decisions he did.

Mike Garrett hired Kiffin.

Mike Garrett hired Kiffin.
True....Haden took over right after the Kiffin hire, so they seem linked. This will be an important hire for Haden.
