some interesting stuff so far

#3: The interrogations of CIA detainees were brutal and far worse than the CIA

represented to policymakers and others.

Beginning with the CIA's first detainee, Abu Zubaydah, and continuing with numerous others,

the CIA applied its enhanced interrogation techniques with significant repetition for days or

weeks at a time. Interrogation techniques such as slaps and "wallings" (slamming detainees

against a wall) were used in combination, frequently concurrent with sleep deprivation and

nudity. Records do not support CIA representations that the CIA initially used an "an open, non

threatening

approach,"^ or that interrogations began with the "least coercive technique possible"^

and escalated to more coercive techniques only as necessary.

I was here when I was a student but mainly in the Shark Pool. I looked over here a couple times and it was a bunch of discussions talking about things like Rush's best album, or best brand of rider lawnmower and decided it wasn't quite for me back then..

They're covering this extensively on NPR today. Just the few snippets I've heard so far mention keeping people awake for 180 hours straight, chaining people up to walls in manacles naked for extensive periods of time, and that the information they got by using these techniques turned out to be of little to no use. I imagine it's something like this, possibly without the Esther Williams tribute. The CIA is, of course, denying all of it, except possibly the Esther Williams tribute.

I cant, for the life of me, figure out why the CIA didnt simply bring in Jack Bauer. At least they would have gotten answers.

Outside of that white supremacy thing?

This was similar to the LHUCKS banning (resulting from something that seemed innocuous at the time) in that it was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. It is not a shock that he got banned, only that it took so long. He should have been gone months ago after threatening the site owners with litigation and later suicide if the mods didn't shut down a thread he started.

I think its very suspicious that Em posted another "look at me" thread the very same day two "this board is dying" threads are on the first page.

 
Does banning really matter? The people just come back under a new account and, even when found out, the admins don't do anything about it. Em will be back. Bank on it.

Em seemed harmless. assuming he's not shtick, I don't think he's mean-spirited, just ignorant.

Peens and Arctic Edge would disagree that the admins ignore banned posters who return under an alias.

In Em's case, I don't think he can stay away from this place, however he should be spotted rather quickly as his willful ignorance, bigoted attitudes and atrocious grammar makes his posts as distinctive as his fingerprints.

I remember when that johnjohn guy got banned, then he was back a day later as juanjuan. You'd think that wouldn't make it past the account approval process.

 
Im not familiar with the ban rules, but is this post from Em, ban worthy?

TV pretty much tells kids to act black nowadays so all most attractive girls want is some thug who has a bunch of weed that will treat her like dirt.

which tv shows do you watch? From what I've seen on tv lately I would think the oppositte is true. #ferguson #actblackgetkilledbycops Oh wait nevermind, act black and be black are 2 different things.

MIssed that statement. That's pretty funny for a guy who wanted to be a thug and could only lure a girl into his basement with some weed.
