Game Thread W7 - Green Bay V Minnesota (1 Viewer)

THE VIKINGS WIN THE PENNANT!!! THE VIKINGS WIN THE PENNANT!!! THE VIKINGS WIN THE PENNANT!!! THE VIKINGS WIN THE PENNANT!!! THE VIKINGS WIN THE PENNANT!!! THE VIKINGS WIN THE PENNANT!!! THE VIKINGS WIN THE PENNANT!!!

lol

Bastages cost me my wagers tho...

This will be the game that could turn the Vikes season around. Moore Huge in fourth quarter, C pepp huge in Second half, Burleson back opened up field. Why Tice came out with that first half game plan I have no idea, but Culpepper bailed him and the Vikes out!

First off..

Where's that been all year Culpepper, GREAT 2nd half!!!

2nd off..

I can wear my Viking jacket all this week in public in Wisc. without wearing a :bag:

:P :D  :hophead:

I doubt it, its just that GB are an embarassment as well

Just remember, This is the NFC North where a 7-9 record could win it!! :D :lmao:

Thats some ####### bull####!

Sherman has hopefully coached his last game... seriously.

####### bull####.
Agreed... The went conservative after the half... and even when the game was on the line... fun tony fisher on 3rd down? Another play for the tie for Sherman rather then for the win... the packers gave the Vikings a win...

Flea Flicker. only went for 10 yards. I thought they'd go for it there.
This is what I thought at the time as well, but apparently the Packers had some extra good coverage, what with the 12 men on defense that play.

Mike Tice Sherman is a moron.
Fixed it for you.If he's not fired tomorrow morning, I'm done being a Packer fan.

 :hot:  :hot:  :hot:  :hot:

:bag:
Tice is still a moron and will not be back as the Vikings coach. One thing that Holmgren passed on to all of his assistant coaches is how to play not to lose. Favre was having a field day against the Vikings and how often did they try and throw the ball deep?

Sherman will not be back next year. I'm waiting for the Favre haters to come out and try and pin this lose on him.

Don't be too sure about that. Star & Tribune had an article in the paper today that Tice and Wilff have a great working relationship and Wilff blames McCombs for all the failuares of the Vikings. Said, even if Vikings don't have a good finish to the season there is a good chance Tice will be back..

Grab some  and watch is all we can do.

If Tice comes back as a head coach for ANY team in the NFL, I'm conviced he made a deal with the Devil.

MrVike? just doesn't sound right
:bag:
Does he have t be a Vikings fan? Can't he be MrCow or something?
What are you like 10?

 While I'm certainly not as clever as you and put Mr before my favorite teams partial name or do I cry for a coach to be fired and claim I will stop being a fan, I guess I see where you make that statement. Sorry, I forgot you always get pissy when things don't go your way.

Yep, right there is EXACTLY why most folks in Minnesota call a :penalty: :bs: every time Al Michaels, John Madden or some other yahoo wets their pants while talking about "Packer fans being the greatest fans on earth."**** the Packers. At least most of us Vikings fans already knew/know our team and coach sucks this year. Packer fans? Time to retreat into that cozy State of Denial (er, Wisconsin) and live on past glory...so they don't have to acknowledge how TERRIBLE their 2005 squad actually is. One thumping of the New Orleans Saints had them thinking that they were going to somehow pull off a miracle this season. Nah-gah-dah. No one out of the NFC North survives Wild Card weekend anyway, so GET OVER IT. I'm just waiting on the off-season for the Vikings too, so we can get a real head coach and hopefully another decent draft pick. That said, dang it ALWAYS feels good to see the Packers lose to the home-squad.....LOL. :bye:

Next week might be a different story, but for 1 week. :P ;)

Enjoy your day. :finger: ;)

Packers got some of what they deserved for rubbing it in the Saints faces (passing instead of running out the clock, keeping Favre in when up by 40+) the last game they played.5 more Packer losses in a row like this one and I'll consider it even.

As a CPep and Moore owner, I am VERY happy that the Vikes got the win. It should improve morale, give them a lift, and help them be productive. A loss obviously would have just added to their downward FF stats as the games go forward.Still, the voyeur in me kind of enjoyed this train wreck called the Vikings 2005 season. :P

WOW.. Just looked over the schedule and Packers are going to need A LOT of luck to not be 2-9 after the next 5 weeks.Bengals, Steelers, Falcons, Vikes, Eagles. That is a NASTY schedule

Why does Favre always lay an egg in the Metrodome?  Is this guys mental strength that low?
I will be the first to say he is a hall of famer and the best quarterback in the league over the past 10 years. However, he continually lays an egg in this buildling.

If you watched the game yesterday, you would realize that Favre did not lay an egg yesterday. He was the only reason the Packers were in the game.28-36 for 315 yards 2TDs 0 Int

He was unstoppable in the first half! And was an equal threat in the 2nd half. However, when it got down to crunch time he started overthrowing and underthrowing guys.9 times out of 10, this guy is clutch. Heck, he is 10x as clutch as any quarterback the Vikings have ever had. He still folded in the end, which is usually the case for Favre in the Metrodome.
