Question.
What are the thoughts when looking at the LB position. I know DE's are more valuable than DT, however, have recently concluded that I know nothing about the LB's in regards to WEAK, STRONG, MIDDLE ... yada yada.
So, what are the thoughts in regards to what position usually puts up the best stats for the position itself. Also - did we forget anything for the scoring system that should be added???
Scoring system =
> > Tackle = 1. If possible, assist will equal .5
> > Sack = 8 points. If possible, assist will equal 4
> > Fumble Recovery = 5
> > Forced Fumble = 3
> > INT = 5
> > For Return Yardage = 1pt for every .1 yard
> > Safety = 10
> > Recovered Kick =6
> > Blocked Kick = 4
> > Pass Defended = 3
Thanks all.

I'm guessing this is to make DL more inviting. In general, 4-3 MLB > 4-3 WLB=3-4 ILB > 4-3 SLB=3-4 OLB. That's pretty oversimplified though. Middle linebackers are in the best position to make tackles, strong side backers have to deal with the most blockers. Some SLB are all around skilled three down players who have as much value as some WLB. Tampa-2 systems bump the value of a WLB to equal or better than the MLB.
