The NFL is partnering up with Yahoo! to offer a streaming service of all NFL games for $250 a season.
The National Football League said on Thursday it will stream a full season of live games over the Internet to gridiron fans outside of North America.
This thread is for a very small minority of the FBG posters...

Yep.First set of games were unavailable as they were doing server upgrades or site maintainence, but then I used it to watch the Bears / Packers game.Tough to beat getting all NFL games for $3.83 a month! There's a website called streamtvnow.com that claims to have every game online as well. $12 for 3 month membership. Anyone ever heard of them?
How is the quality? I'm wondering if the quality is good enough that I can use some A/V cords and plug my laptop into my TV at home to watch on something bigger than my 17in screen. I'm a Bengals fan that's has been transported to Alabama for work (in a condo surrounded by trees no less so I can't get direct tv!) and I just planned on going to the sports bar but if this would work I would gladly pay.Yep.First set of games were unavailable as they were doing server upgrades or site maintainence, but then I used it to watch the Bears / Packers game.Tough to beat getting all NFL games for $3.83 a month! There's a website called streamtvnow.com that claims to have every game online as well. $12 for 3 month membership. What's the quality like? You can check out the nationally televised games (CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN) for free with TVU Player.
It works for people not in the U.S., or for people who are in the U.S. but for some reason don't have access to a TV (like people on the West Coast who are at work right now).
Surprisingly good if you have a broadband connection. It takes about a minute to get going, but after that it's very watchable. (I think it's delayed by about 90 seconds behind the actual broadcast.)What's the quality like? You can check out the nationally televised games (CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN) for free with TVU Player.

How does game selection work on Sunday afternoons? IIRC, truly "nationally televised" games are rare.Surprisingly good if you have a broadband connection. I don't know which feeds you get from CBS or FOX. Maybe New York? Whichever game is on that feed, that's what you'd get. FOX has Maury Povich on right now, in case that helps. CBS is not working right now.You can also get ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN (Asia), Comedy Central, HBO, TVLand, and a bunch of others. How does game selection work on Sunday afternoons? You need to have WinAmp installed, which is a free download. As I said I missed all the early games as their site was down for server upgrades / site maintainence. Only used it for the first time yesterday so I can't add much more than that.Big Score and others using StreamTv,Just signe up. Any history of problems with them? Any recommendations on using it? - do you have to manipulate settings, etc.Thanks.
It's streaming video, so of course you're not getting Hi Def picture quality, but allowing for that, I was satisfied. You'll need to download the free WinAmp software.I happen to have the set up you're describing. Good graphics card with audio & video out jacks running to my 48" big screen. I put my PC in "Dual View" mode, maximized the WinAmp widow showing the Bears / Packers game, switched my TV to the correct video channel & viola` any & all NFL games on my big screen for $3.83 per month. How is the quality? Does seem a little too good to be true. Lock this thread immediately.Enjoy while you can. This is copyright infringement. I wouldn't be surprised if the NFL got this operation shut down quickly once they become aware of it.

It works simiarly to peer-to-peer file sharing, so it won't work with a firewall.Sounds good. I'll have to try it at home tonight - program is having an issue with the network connection at work.
Do you see the channel selection over to the the left? Click on ESPN. That one is working very well right now. (It takes a minute or so after clicking on it to get going.)Downloaded, but I'm not getting any channels.![]()

At the bottom (under the picture), after you click on a channel, it should either say "Closed" (if it's not working) or "Connecting" (if it is). The "Connecting" will switch to "Download 59 [or whatever] KBps/MB" and shortly after that you should get a picture.Clicked it. Nothing happens. Actually, I think it's San Francisco's feed. At least it was yesterday for the CBS game.I don't know which feeds you get from CBS or FOX. Maybe New York? I watched using TVU and it worked pretty well. The picture got a little pixelated occasionally and a few times it stopped altogether while it seemed to be rebuffering. But overall it was a nice option if you don't have access to ESPN.Did this work well last night?
Being streaming video, I'm sure the picture quality is the same with either one.Worked well enough for me - a bit of stuttering, but I guess that's to be expected. It's easily 10 times better than just getting radio, but still only about half as good as getting it through cable. I'm talking about TVU, btw - didn't try the other pay service yet.
I had to shut it down and restart it a few times before it would work for me. If it doesn't say "connecting" when you click on a channel, shut it down and restart it.I gave TVu a shot ... didn't work for me. Just sat the and spun (Ready). Maybe my DSL isn't fast enough? I answered yes to the Firewall prompts I'm pretty sure.

Account cleared. Watched part of the Yankees game last night. Was better quality than I was expecting. However the screen froze on me after about 30 minutes. I then switched to HBO and some comedian was on. The comedians mouth movement and voice did not match up, I don't think this will be a concern when watching a football game.I signed up for a month at streamtvnow.com. Just waiting for my paypal account to clear.
Sunday UpdateAt first I couldn't get to the Vikings game becase the server was busy. During the game I lost the connection about 3 times for a total of 5 minutes. I watched the Rams game for the second game. Never lost a connection. Picture Qlty was OK not great. I couldn't make out what quater it was when viewing the St.Louis game.
