I think Samkon Gado will take over as Houstons starting RB this week&# (1 Viewer)

i still believe in the houston run game.

i am surprised a fellow owner included gado as a "throw in" in a deal last week.

i agree he will take over soon, IMO.

if he takes over i will mentally pretend i drafted him in the 5th round and not wali lundy. he he.

Actually, this is the week Dayne solidifies his RB1 status.

How do I know? Because I own Dayne in two leagues and Gado in none. What additional rationale does one need?

Mark it down!

How they'll do today:

Dayne: 16-44

Gado: 9-24

And the guessing game continues another week. :bag:

Not much use for any RB who will average less then 50 yards a game. Houston is a mess, and will pass more then they will run week in and week out.

I'll make sure I mark it down.

Not for nothing, but Gado blows. So does Dayne, but he'll fare better than Gado.

If you are this desperate for a Houston RB to be productive, chances are your season is already shot. Prepare for draft day better next year.

Good luck.

my wife wants to know if she can throw this note away.. she says it's worthless

Dayne has 50 yards and Carr just got a one yard TD run. I think this just means Gado will be the guy in the 4th quarter. Gotta believe that.

Yeah, the starting back in Nigerian Football (soccer) leagues. With Dayne running well in thier first win I don't see him sitting soon.

Shocking they didn't give him the rock. Shocking.

We still have a 7+ minutes. I'm not giving up yet.

 I love that spirit.

Gado looked great running into the lockerroom after the game. GB this thread!

:lmao:

Did you see the tackle he broke at the gatorade table? Wow. Just wow.

You were all a week (MAYBE 2) early. Dayne is no answer for a crappy team's fledgling running game. LOL re: the "gatorade Table" comments, but anyone believing Dayne keeps his lead on Gado in the fantasy production contest throughout the next 3-4 WEEKS, much less the rest of the season has been drinking spiked kool-aid.

This gives Gado hopefuls another week to get him cheap.

6 carries for 9 yards is the answer?

ONE W vs. a team vying for NFL draft position is the argument in favor of Dayne's FAR worse showing in FAR greater exposure? Did you SEE Dayne in the passing game? Dayne's butt's due for about 1000 splinters soon. But, for SURE, Dayne got more (crappy) carries TODAY!!!

I would tend to agree. I see this as being a headache all year long unless one guy has a great three-week stretch of games and firmly establishes himself.

I'm shocked that wtu311 didn't check back in here.
Wait a minute -- you mean someone posted a ridiculous prediction in the Shark Pool that flopped miserably, and then didn't check back into the thread to own up?I can't fathom this.

I must say, from the stat tracker (couldn't see the game), Dayne seemed to play well again and - even though I know all the people on this board are VERY wise - I am guessing that Kubiak isn't starting Dayne over Gado for ANY OTHER REASON then that he thinks he'll give him better production.

I'm not on the Dayne bandwagon, but I don't think the signs look great for Gado. Sure, Gado could be starting by week 7-8, but is he THAT much better that he'll actually become a viable starter at that time? Methinks that occam's razor suggests that Gado is being overrated on this board...

Kubicek calls him Ronnie not Dayne. Guess who his favorite back is. Sherman is the one pimping Gado.

They all suck behind that offensive line.

Exactly. And the defense doesn't help. If I had my choice of Dayne or Gado for my RB and was a first year coach, I'm *guessing* I'd take Gado but don't imagine it would be clear-cut...

Not against Dallas. They are one of the better run D's, are at home and coming off a bitter loss to a division rival. I expect them to take out their frustrations against my woeful Texans this week.
