2006 Shark Pool Suicide : Week 5 ---- 434 still alive (1 Viewer)

I understand your point but your strategy got you within a sneeze of being knocked out this week.
I think you have me confused with the 160-some-odd folks who chose Indy this week. I'd hardly call picking the Patriots' 10 point win over Miami "within a sneeze of being knocked out this week". But I guess it's all persepctive and hindsight, eh?

Oops. I assumed you took indy because you were talking about them being a "gimme" either in this weeks thread or last weeks.

I haven't run this thing in years prior, but it seems this week is really quite an anomoly -- Everyone who got a legal pick in moves on. :o Congrats to you all, and screw you all because my workload on this thing is supposed to decrease every week.

The only elims this week were illegal / no picks -- they are:

Out this week with repeat picks:

Hairy Snowman took Indy in week 2 and 5

out this week with NO pick:

You mean nobody took Tennessee?! That is a pretty strange week, but not that big of a surprise because every favorite won. There was not one dog that won outright yesterday and I don't think that happens very often.

Not so strange in the NFL world, but in every previous week we've had a handful of people taking those dogs as their choice. Of course, it could be that all the people who made a habit of taking dogs are already elim'd :banned:

Carolina and Indy were the overwhelming Top 2 choices in Week 5 (92 and 162, respectively). I was half wrong (half right?) in thinking that Indy and New England would be the top 2 choices.

For Week 6, I see a slew of Chicago (on the road over the Cards) and Denver (at home, over Oakland) picks. Especially if Denver comes out and wins tonight over Balt.

San Diego over SF will be a popular pick, too.
