For anyone thinking about picking one of the systems up I paid the following at FYE.

359.99 premium system

48.59 GoW

16.19 3 month gold

25.00 membership fee to the store to get discounts

27.61 tax

477.38 total

(10.00) mail in rebate for GoW

(40.00) mail in rebate for system

427.38 total after rebates.

Not nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

How much were your fees? Guess I could make some money if I bought a bunch and sold them on ebay. Only have about $42 in each. Why are people buying it off ebay? Is it sold out most places?

GoW question.

There isn't a "map" or anything you can see (to see where other players/weapons are ) while playing is there?

i did a 1 day auction. got $64 with shipping, $2.25 paypal fee = 61.75 ebay fees about $2 = 59.75 - shipping cost = $55.dont know if its sold out in your neck of the woods but there are tons here in Toronto.(selling at $59.99)

nope the maps are small enough that you can usually engage people in 15-20 secondsdont see many fights lasting more than 3 mins.
 
Good games last night, save for the fact that someone on our team was obviously either drinking the entire time or letting his wife play for him ... or both. I'm guessing drunken redneck slurring and stammering plays about as well over the mic as a 12-year-old's pre-pubescent shrieks.

Also, I noticed another important gaming feature last night. Multiplayer isn't exactly the most restroom-condusive thing in the world.

Well I have the game. But I have yet to play it. Might not get to it until tomorrow night. :(
 
The big advantage of playing with the Cow, apparently, is that I do not drink, so as the night goes on, my skills shouldn't go down too much, eh?

ya i remember something about letting the wife play.at least shes into that.. my gf called me last night and heard the headset on in the background "whos that, what are you doing, why arent you paying attention to me, turn that off..."then she called me a mega :nerd: :confused:

Anyone up for some co-op in a couple hours?

I have to tie up some loose ends at the office before getting an early start on the weekend, but I should be home around 12:00 EST.

I'm sure Otis called in sick again. Hope that pneumonia clears up, buddy.

had way too much fun last night to not be a :nerd:

i joined a random game after ours broke up, only to realize why i don't like playing with random people. you seem required to have at least 1 ADD 13 year old who thinks its cool to scream and use profanity every 0.4 seconds :rolleyes:

hopefully ill get off early today and continue to join the online phenomenon :excited:

It's tough to use but once you blow someone up it's worth it :)

I've had a similar issue, though never with invite games. Sometimes when I look for a quick match, the second I get connected I am immediately disconnected. Can sometimes happen a few times before I actually get into a game. :shrug:

I wasn't able to use quick match - kept losing the connection - but invites and specifying the match type worked fine.
 
By the way, I'm out until late next Wednesday night. Leaving for a business trip in Orlando tomorrow morning. :cry:

I'm going to miss it. Poker tonight so I can't play tonight.

 
Incidentally, I quickly realized that the matches get WAY more competitive and evenly matched when Usual21 isn't playing. I think he needs to be banned from use of the sniper rifle in all future FBG vs. FBG contests. Seriously.

What can I say? At any given time, one of them is complaining, another one is nagging and the other one wants to be banged? My time is pretty much spoken for.
 
Question for those who have played, how are the grenades? What about the pistol? And, is there an auto aim like Halo? Please compare to Halo, as that is what I am familiar with.

 
ive already got a few maps completley memorized, some are better than others

the only map i really hate at the moment is mausoleum map.. that one is really ####

Wife's going to costco, I'm pretty sure I don't have to go :thumbup: so all I have to do is hook up the dirt bike trailer for noon and I should be getting in a few rounds here in about 20 mins.
