That wouldn't upset me as a Seahawk fan. Not happy to see anyone lose their career early, but it's going to be years of bad RBing if SA is still around. He's certainly made enough money and is clearly interested in preserving his body. He won't be signing on with AZ for a last 2 years' paycheck late in his career. Did they say because of injury or just based on his lack of effort this season?

That was a reference to Emmit Smith, who continued to actually want to play late in his career instead of laying down in the middle of it like SA is.

Alexander (wrist, ankle, knee) will not play Monday night against the 49ers, KING-TV Seattle reports.
Spin: Alexander and coach Mike Holmgren agreed that Alexander couldn't make the necessary cuts in practice Saturday and the best option would be for him to rest another week. Holmgren expects Alexander to return to action next week against Chicago. In the meantime, insert Maurice Morris into your lineup if possible; he'll see the majority of the carries against San Francisco's 25th-ranked run defense.
