I'm sure there are other owners in the playoffs, first or second round, that are facing the dillema of having both ADP and Taylor. Who are you going with this week?

I'm leaning towards Peterson. I figure, dance with the one that brought ya. And he certainly helped get me here in two leagues. Then again, what are you doing and why?

 
I only have AP, and will start him. Have to. If I had Chester, I would start him too, and would plan to start him over AP if need be. But I would have to have a pretty good option to not start both...

 
How has Chicago been against the run this year? Can anyone pull up the numbers? I have both and with Bush injured, am leaning heavily towards starting both. I bet if you looked at their combined points over the last few weeks it would compare very favorably to the sum of two average starting RBs...

 
I'm not sure that you should start both. I don't know - call me crazy - but I'd rather start ADP along with someone like MJD or Selvin Young. ADP is more likely to have a big game next week. It's Primetime, Monday night, home game against Chicago. Usually it is nights like these when the stars shine. And ADP is a star.

 
Taylor outscored my flex (Kolby) two weeks in a row but rode my pine. I am tempted to flex him this week over Kolby along with ADP as my RB1 due to Kolby being the suck against Denver, getting banged up, and having a tough matchup against Ten (well, tough if Haynesworth plays, though it seems he reaggravated his injury and could miss the game).

Hard decisions suck. :lol:

 
I have AD, Taylor, and MBIII in a start 2RB league. I'm not sure what call to make here. I went with both the Minnesota backs this week in a meaningless game and left Barber's pts on the bench. Might go AD and Barber next week.

We have the same team I think, PPR w/ Bush out and I'll start ADP/Chester and leave Alexander on my bench.

Chicago just lost two DTs for the season from an already thin interior line...I would go with both in Orton's first start of the season in two years.
 
Gotta back the horse that got you there. One bad game doesn't mean much. You can site injury but that wouldn't explain week 13.

I'm stacked at RB with Grant, Gore, Graham, ADP, and MJD (Dang I love free agents - all but ADP and Gore were off the wire when MJD stunk for a few weeks).

Still, I'm starting ADP this week - with Grant. Graham is tempting me, but I think CHI's D is weak and shouldn't be passed on.

Caveat: With these RB's I've picked the wrong freakin' pair every week for 4 weeks now. My opinon should be taken with a block of salt!

As a Bears fan, I have a feeling that game is going to be UGLY. As a Taylor owner, I can easily see MN not pushing things with AP because they simply won't need to - which could mean another big game for Taylor.

I'm in a similar situation. I can start 2 rb's and my choices are Graham, Peterson, Kevin Jones or S Young (I also have Alexandar, but not really considering him).Right now, Graham is a no-brainer. That kid runs hard and has a nose for the endzone. I am leaning towards Peterson over Jones and Young. Like someone else said, its a home game on Monday night. Plus, Chicago is really banged up on defense and hasn't stopped the run very well this year anyway. I think they are ranked in the low 20's against the run.I think you gotta go with ADP at home on Monday night if you have him on your squad. This is the exact kind of game you have him on your team for.
 
Im not gonna let last weeks performance deter me from starting ADP this weekend. Sure he had a bad game last week and Chi may try stuff the run but fact is, im sure teams have done this for the 2nd half of the yr and he has still come up gold. I own ADP and Chester and unless I hear otherwise due to a rest or something, im starting ADP along side Grant for my 1st playoff game this weekend. My plan was to ride ADP and Grant to the finals and thats what im gonna do.

Im more worried about Gates being rested at this stage!

Why would Gates be rested in week 15? I would be shocked if he was rested in week 16!

The hip injury is definitely a concern for the near term since he was noticeably limping all game long. The Chargers are on the verge of clinching the AFC West, so the team may take it easy with some of their injured stars over the next few weeks. I only carry 1 TE and no room for a 2nd

I have Taylor but not Peterson. I am thinking of starting Taylor over Burress, the other AP, R. White, and C. Henry. I don't know how many carries he will get but he has been productive with the ones he has got. With Orton starting he should get a shot. Minnesota is in the driver's seat for the final wild card spot. I would think you want to insure Peterson is healthy for the playoffs. I hope Taylor gets about 15 touches.

Boom..this is key. When is the last time Minnesota hosted a game on MNF? This team is on fire, plays a divison rival at home that is seriously struggling and is inserting a QB better known for neckbeard than his QB play. Ragnar is already touching himself in anticipation.

It's key when you're dealing with flex spots or questionable RBs. It's tough when you're in a situation like I am...no flex and two of AD/Taylor/Lewis/SJax to choose from. Starting both Minny RBs doesn't seem like a maximizing play. Seems safe to me.

Chicago Bears Defense:

#26 rank v. the run, 1.1 rush TD per game and 124 rush yards per game.

#25 rank v. the pass, 1.2 TD per game and 231 pass yards per game.

I have Taylor and ADP and I will start both. But due to Bush's injury, they are my only options, which I like b/c I'd planned on starting both and now with Bush out I don't have to second guess myself.

hahahaha, yeah and if Chet does not get that long run he does not have a great day....he only had 8 carries. Man, that is gambling in playoff time to start both. I say ADP hands down

I agree. It doesn't seem like you are maximizing your point potential at the RB position in that instance. I feel as though I have to start one or the other. I'm thinking ADP. But Chester is definitely the "safe" pick. Decisions, decisions.

ADP single handedly beat CHI earlier this year...20 Rush, 224 yds 3 TDs.
 
In the 5 home games he's played this year, he's averaged 139 yards per game. Sure the 296 game skews things a bit, but he only has 1 game with fewer than 100 yards at home. The fact that he went for 224 and 3 TDs against the Bears in Chicago earlier this year is just the cherry on top.

 
I have KJ, SJax, Rudi, Addai and AD. And I may go with SJax, Addai and AD just to maximize my potential, but I can't afford another 0.3-point week from AD.

Looking at the year, AD has been very inconsistent. It's hard to gamble in the playoffs, but you need guys in there if they can drop 40 on a given week.

I totally agree. Kovax, I am not going to tell you to start ADP and/or Taylor over . . . Oh, wait a minute. In this obvious ( :mellow: ) WDIS thread you forgot to tell me who your other players were so I could evaluate them and tell you who to start. :thumbup: Silly me. Carry on.

It is NOT a WDIS thread. Not even close. It is a very important thread about lineup management. Do you start 2 good RB's on the same team or do you gamble that ADP will be the primary bread winner and start another guy like MJD?

I think it all depends on your opponent. What do you project from him? If you think he has a modest upside hen you go with both ADP and Chester the Molestor. If you think you need a big week then you gamble on ADP and a RB on another team.

Not sure what part of this you don't understand. :hey: It's a matter of economics and credibility. And ADP has that credibility.??????? No comprende?????
 
LT, Turner, ADP, and CT. LT and ADP thank you very much. The other guys are backups to my STUDS. Always start your STUDS.

If I had Bush or MJD I would be thinking hard about starting CT AND ADP though. CT is almost a stud compared to these guys this year.

And I don't see how ADP is considered inconsistent. He's been in double digits almost the entire year.

I won't be benching the STUD that got me here, and if I lose so be it.

 
My dilemna in one redrafter is an embarrassment of riches at RB -- Westbrook, Peterson, Portis, and Taylor in a start 3 WR PPR league that heavily favors WRs. RBs kept sliding to me at a late draft position that were too good to pass up. Relatively thin at WR, but these RBs carried me to the #1 seed.

In my situation, Westbrook plays no matter what. So I'm forced to pick between Peterson and Taylor, and I'm even considering Portis who has made an impact as a receiver these last few weeks.

Can't afford to make the wrong pick between Peterson and Taylor -- likely sticking with ADP, but I'm very nervous about this.

That was exactly my point. I never took it as a WDIS thread. I used the word "obvious" as sarcasm. I actually provided useful infomation earlier in the post about the Bears defense, so I have no issue with the post. I am actually quite fond of it.If there is room to interpret a thread as being valid in the Pool then we should always give the poster the benefit of the doubt instead of cluttering threads with abuse. Here, there is obvious (no sarcasm this time) evidence that it's not a WDIS b/c you didn't list your team.

My apologies for the miscommunication.

wow, several people here would bench Gore vs the Bengals 22nd ranked rush D for Taylor? I have that option too this weekend, but didn't even consider benching Gore. Maybe I should? :popcorn:

I haven't watched much (at all) of Gore, but I was really impressed when I got a clip of him the other day hitting the hole very fast and hard. Taylor's good, but hard to bench Gore when he's the undisputed #1. If you just need a solid game from your number 2 then Taylor might be your guy. But Gore could hit it out of the park.Biggest risk with Gore is Cincy hanging 21 points on the board early. The Bears won't do that v. Minn.

I wish I would have done that as I started Peterson & Travis Henry last week. Thanks to Brady, I was lucky enought to survive. I will not make the same mistake this week; I'm starting both Peterson & Taylor over Henry and Maroney.

The Bears run D is atrocious... but I have a sneaking suspicion that Taylor may get the benefit of the yards and touchdowns. Both are certain to occur for Minn. rb's this week.

Has anyone heard anything regarding the workload that either might see?
