No direct link for the show on the FXX website, but it's all over the website.

I loved the HBO Ali G show, so I'm pumped for the reboot on FXX. I hope it isn't watered down being on cable, but :excited:

Nice....when did FX become FXX though and why?
They didn't. FX still exists. They moved Sunny and the League to FXX on it's lauch this past fall. I think they just had a lot of popular shows and they're riding the gravy train.
Sort of. Fox gave their head of programming a mandate to basically generate more revenue. They came up with the idea to split FX into 3 networks, with target demos by age. FXX is like 26-44, FX is 45+ and the other one is 25 and under. Something like that.

It sucks because I don't have FXX now and wasn't willing to spend the additional money to go up a tier just for that. :firstworldproblems:

Yeah, I dont pay for cable or satellite because I realized the only thing I watch live is sports, and this sounds like pure BS from the company.

I am the biggest Ali G fan ever, so I was super stoked to hear about this reboot. From the google searches about this show, it seems like its just a re airing of all his British and HBO bits (if you were a big fan of his you probably seen all his stuff on Youtube by now) and the only new footage will be the intros.

Hope that there is more than just new intros though.

:sadbanana:

I hope there's more new content that that, but not complaining too much.

FX and Sacha Baron Cohen have made a deal to bring "Ali G: Rezurection" to comedy spin-off channel FXX in February. Despite the title, this doesn't mean there will be new episodes of the bitingly satirical series that introduced Baron Cohen and three of his distinctive characters to the world.

Instead, FXX will be airing the existing 18 episodes of the show, including the 2003-2004 HBO season and the 2000 Channel 4 season that preceded it and that has never aired in the U.S. FXX will also air all the Ali G segments from "The 11 O'clock Show," on which the character first appeared before being spun off onto his own program.

Baron Cohen will provide new introductions for each episode, but, more interestingly, his production company Four By Two has just signed a first-look TV deal with FX.

"We're thrilled to be in business with Sacha Baron Cohen," said FX's Nick Grad, "He is an amazing talent and we look forward to him developing new series for FXP. We're also excited to introduce 'Da Ali G Show' and Sacha's characters to a new audience on FXX, and we can't wait to see how he will incorporate new, original content in the episodes."

damn, seems like we are ABSOLUTELY not getting anything new, other than intros.

I think Ali G can easily get new material if he just focuses on speaking with non famous people since he is years removed from the show and older people probably don't know who he is.

Well, that takes a lot of air out of my balloon, but on the bright side it sounds like he's going to be in the works on a new series. That's pretty unclear on whether he's just a writer/producer for it or also the star though.

I'll watch, but I'm wondering if anyone would still be fooled by him at this point?
I'm with you at his peak, but Borat has been off the grid for a bit. There's an outside chance he could do bits at this point with people who are unaware, I'm thinking. Here's to hoping.

Is this the weird #### that came on after the league last night? I don't think I laughed once but it was dumb enough I might tune in next week, maybe this style of "humor" grows on you.

I used to love this show. I watched 3 episodes last season and couldn't bear it anymore. Uncomfortable humor used to be funny to me. But I think as I get older, the less I find it funny.
