"Honey Boo Boo" Cancelled. Why? You'll be shocked. (1 Viewer)

Hambeast mom dating kid-toucher.

TLC's "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" is reportedly ending its run.

TMZ says TLC has canceled the series in light of claims that the program's newly separated matriarch, June "Mama June" Shannon, is dating Mark Anthony McDaniel, a man who served 10 years in prison after being convicted of aggravated child molestation in 2004 and who is a registered sex offender.

Shannon denied those claims in a statement posted to the personal Facebook page of daughter Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson.

"I want to make a post trying to clear up the rumors," Shannon began. "®emember you can't believe everything you read! (People) sell stories to the tabloid everyday that r false! It isnt true i promise my kids r #1 priority over anything else and I would never put them in danger period over this or anything else they r my life this is my past I left him 10 yrs ago for it and I wouldn't go back."

On Thursday, some outlets reported that the show's future was in jeopardy because of Shannon's alleged relationship with McDaniel. According to TMZ, McDaniel and Shannon have dated in the past.

TLC said in a statement that it was rethinking what was to come for "Honey Boo Boo."

"TLC is not currently in production on 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,' " the statement reads. "We are very concerned about this new information and are reassessing the future of the series."

The network began "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" in August 2012 as a spinoff of its child pageant reality show, "Toddlers & Tiaras." Alana Thompson was one of "Tiaras' " breakout stars, and "Honey Boo Boo" was launched to follow the spunky kid and her family at their Georgia home.

The series, which also starred Alana Thompson's three older sisters and her dad, Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson, averaged 2.4 million viewers an episode in its first season, establishing itself as a reality TV hit. The show's fourth season wrapped up in August with 1.8 million viewers.

Rumors about the show's future began in September, after Shannon's separation from partner "Sugar Bear" Thompson.

loved this show. it was such a train wreck. i dont know why she left sugar bear. he seemed like a hard working redneck and theres no way that hambeast could do any better than him.

they even had a gay cousin on the show and honey boo boo's friends are black. the show was very progressive in many ways for it being set in the deep south.

does it really shock you that someone who invests their time into living vicariously thru their porker of a kid and her beauty pageants, would hook up with a child molester?

I mean... I always assumed child pageantry was an unspoken coverup for that crap anyways

Wow.

That could mean that this family is atypical and that the deep south is otherwise eaten up with racism and homophobia.

Or that could mean that they aren't atypical, at least in that regard, and the stereo-types about the deep south are just as careless, over-broad and thus unfair as stereotypes about other groups and populations.

Which way did you intend it?

And thus a perfect ending to a horrible show. Anyone who found it entertaining, now here's a dose of who these people really are.

Hell, you get me some snarl-toothed family of backwoods idiots who all call their dad Papa Pig or some #### like that, and Ill sign them immediately.

This show has gone on too long as it is. Was due to end soon so now with them separated the show has ended. Too many of these dumb "reality" shows with this being the worst.

I'm shocked and outraged!!!!

I demand they bring back Honey Doo Doo!

I would have hope for humanity, but I think we all know it will just be replaced with something even more repulsive. And idiots will eat it up (literally and figuratively).

June's head is disproportionately obese compared to the rest of her body. Don't get me wrong, she's a fatty (Christo>hi), but looking at just her head and three ginormous chins you'd expect the rest to be completely immobile. Like a Jabbette the Hut or something. She's like a human pellican or bullfrog or something.I don't get how you gain so much weight in just the face..

Strange things always happen, so I'm going out on a very long, strong limb and say that when she's an adult she'll be smokin hot.

Holy crap the guy molested her own daughter and they're out buying houses together? What a rotten piece of trash of a mother. JFC.
