WW Pickup of the Year - Hillman, Martavis, Shoelace, Other? (1 Viewer)

Ronnie Hillman - he's dead, Jim.

Did CJ Anderson just take Hillman's job? Moreno was a stud last year, whoever gets the gig will be down the stretch.

Martavis Bryant 14-310-6 in four weeks coming into MNF

Denard "Shoelace" Robinson - after six weeks the former college QB had 28-94-0 rushing and 11-37-0 receiving. Since being named the starter:

22-127-1

18-108-0

17-94-1

15-60-2

(plus 5-30-0 catching the ball)

I'll add other nominees if anyone thinks there is another that deserves consideration.

Hillman seems to have lost his job.

One nomination: Beckham Jr., if not drafted.

Robinson in Yahoo! because of WR/RB status.

Bryant because he's a beast.

eta* LaFell and Jonas Gray may have something to say before it's all done.

Gray has 13.10 FF points all year. This isn't a speculative poll.

LaFell is a good nominee, I'll add him.

Don't get me wrong, like Bryant's talent, but all his points today came on a fluke play against a truly awful pass d and previously during record setting Big Ben weeks. His performance seems unsustainable, and for this reason Shoelace is the answer

at a time when RBs have been pretty unstable this year, the following guys were picked up on waivers in some/most leagues and are in the top 24 in PPR: Bradshaw(5), Forsett(8), Asiata(14), Oliver(22), Hillman(24). I'd say if you picked up Bradshaw on waivers, you might be winning your league, same for Forsett.

I'd say Forsett first. He's had longevity in terms of holding the position and producing.

Martavis could end up pushing a lot of teams to the championship with the huge games he's having.

A lot of these nominee's are going to end up with zero votes. But I agree with Forsett, Grandma's aside. He came into today 5th in the league in rushing.

Agreed, he's helped for longer than Denard. If Bryant continues this pace, he will pass Forsett, but at this time it's Forsett. I would putt Denard over Bryant just because of the scarcity at RB.

Seems too soon for this poll. If forced to pick today, I don't know how anybody can pick against Forsett, who was a WW pickup in virtually every league and has been a low end RB1 since week 2 or 3. Denard Robinson has barely been relevant for 2 weeks now.

SEVERE recency bias being shown by the voting

Last 4 weeks in PPR:

  1. 18.70
  2. 12.80
  3. 18.40
  4. 19.00
But on the season, think you'd have to say Forsett.

My 20 year league has a lot of MD & PA people in it. Shallow bench (12 x 15), Rice/Forsett/Pierce were drafted in that order, Taliaferro was not.

I will say Larry Donnell at least for people like me who play in deep leagues. Only one huge game but he has been getting a little something every other week.

It's an innefective yet innocuous poll, but that's how polls usually go.

Justin Forsett at RB

Chris Borland for IDP

(so far, on my planet.) lol

Well I'd say Gray secured his place atop the WW mountain this season with that performance. He'll have mediocre weeks but he's a feature back for sure. Staked his claim tonight.

I think this game for Grey was gameplan. Look what they did with Blount last year against the Colts. If i remember correctly their plan was to play that smashmouth football. Next game (gut feeling) he won't have nearly as many carries.

CJ Anderson. Whoever is the Broncos RB is a top 15 overall fantasy player. Hillman would have been the guy without injury.

I picked up Gordon after he went undrafted, and Evans right before the first of his 3 game explosion. I'm pretty f***ing stoked for the rest of the season.

At one point or another I picked up, off waivers, the following:

Odell Beckham

Mike Evans

Mark Ingram

They've all contributed to my team being the highest scoring of the league.
