Not much on that list that makes me excited other than Modest Mouse and Cloud Nothings. Second tier would be The Men, DBT, Titus, SKM, War On Drugs and Hold Steady. Of course I haven't heard or heard of over half of the bands, and invariably a year later I'll actually end up liking a band I wrote off after a brief trial earlier on.

I thought thee oh sees went on hiatus.
I know that he has been working on a label. A friend of mine who had a band a ways ago and recently fired them back up was signed to the label and is due out with some new stuff. Although the new stiff may be a mix of previously recorded stuff.

Really interested to hear that Against Me! album, especially.

Pretty excited for all of these. I guess I cant argue with the ordering as there more here Im interested in their top 25 than the other 75, but MMJ and Wu Tang would probably be the most anticipated, and Modest Mouse if that finally is actually true.

Wilco is such an anomaly to me. Ive liked pretty much everything of theirs that Ive heard, but the only album I have is Summerteeth.

Various degrees of interest in all of these:

Most excited for the Notwist, the Wrens, Spoon, TVOTR, Wilco and Malkmus.

Some old favorites that have disappointed majorly on the past 1-3 albums: U2, MMJ, Modest Mouse, Fleet Foxes, New Porn---hopefully some of these guys can make a comeback this year.

Really hoping Tool gets their crap together and finally release a new one in '14.
Tool has their #### together.... well, all of them except Maynard.

He's a complete and utter ########. He's too busy shooting pellet-guns at people outside his vineyard to be writing lyrics. Really miss when the entire band cared

Quite a lot to look forward to this year.

Canadian Albums I'm looking forward to:

Death From Above 1979 have confirmed a 2014 album

Sloan is expected to release a double album with 4 solo sides (one from each band member), will likely be terrible, but really looking forward to it.

Tokyo Police Club has released their tracklist as well. Their last album "Champ" was excellent but mostly overlooked after their debut couldn't live up to the hype of their debut EP.

Arkells have finished their new album as well, it should be released in the spring - hopefully new tour as well.

Warpaint's new album streaming on NPR

A few years back, the band sold T-shirts emblazoned with a fine unofficial motto for its music: "I don't like cool, I like beautiful." For the four women who make up , those two qualities aren't mutually exclusive: The L.A. group's swirling sound is full of mysterious buzzes and coos, and there's a sense of everything-in-its-right-place grace and impeccability to it, yet the songs themselves never feel icy or distant. Warpaint's self-titled second album feels fashionable, sure, but not at the expense of approachability.

That may be the product of an essential contradiction at Warpaint's core: It's a band that both feels new — its full-length debut, The Fool, came out in 2010 — and has 10 years of shared experience behind it. Far too many artists get served up to the public before their sound has matured fully; in a time of instantaneous worldwide distribution, even good ones often get heard before they've recorded more than a handful of songs. But the women of Warpaint are veteran pros, and they sound like it.

The result is an album that captures both discipline and seemingly easy creative sprawl. Its songs smear together seamlessly and often beautifully, with real craftsmanship and artistic ambition: At 51 minutes, it feels like a complete album more than a loose assortment of MP3s. (Though "Biggy" and the slinky "Love Is to Die" have already served the latter purpose nicely.) Warpaint is indeed both cool and beautiful — an awfully formidable combination from an awfully formidable band.

MMJ against my better judgment. Already heard DBTs and ... meh.
This is pretty much my list too. Just replace Mastodon, ####ed Up, and Black Lips with Belle and Sebastian, St Vincent, and TV on the Radio.

Looks like a promising year.

maybeshewill is in the studio and recording should be done by February. Not sure when it'll actually be out, but presumably a few months later.

Another one I'm looking forward to is Dan Croll's full length debut. March release. I had never heard of him but his set was the biggest surprise (for me) at ACL.

"From Nowhere"
