League Dues
$50 - collected and paid out by LeagueSafe.com

99% sure we do not have to pay for a league commissioner site. If Fantrax decides to charge for something we need, we are looking at an $80 fee. I will avoid that if at all possible. But if it occurs, I hope we can handle it through paypal at $5-$8 per person rather than dipping into the payouts.

Once again, LeagueSafe will be the payment method for this league. You will make your deposit to the site, and payout will be given from the site at the conclusion of the season. It is safe, easy, and charges a 3% transaction fee.

This will be the only way to pay this year, as we are done fooling with paypal and personal checks.

League Payout - assuming 8 teams
1st- $300
2nd- $100

Draft Order
Roll dem bones here
1d1000, 1 time (instead of 10 times). Lowest roll goes first. Please e-mail results to boubucarow -at- gmail -dot- com. I will send my role to RnR.

Rules
30 round slow serpentine draft in this thread
----The draft will begin on Wednesday July 16th with a 4 hour week day timer from 7 am - 7 pm in drafter local time. The timer may be shortened if the draft is in danger of running into fall practices.
----All FBS players from all 128 teams are eligible to be drafted
----Position eligibility determined by Fantrax

4 QB, 7 RB, 7 WR/TE starters each week for the first 14 weeks only, conference championship games and any other game after November 29 will not count (8 games in total)

----So, there will no need to worry about max games, start a full lineup all 14 weeks

----Each starter is locked separately 1 minute prior to each player's own game

Total Points League
---- 6 pt td (pass, run, rec, punt ret, kick ret)
---- 0.05 pass yd, 0.1 run/rec yrd
---- (-2) interceptions
---- 2 pt per 2 point conversions (pass, run, rec)

FREE AGENCY BIDDING SYSTEM

1. Each owner has $200 in free agent bidding for the entire season,

2. The minimum bid is $1.

3. Ties will go to the lower team in the standings.

4. The bidding window opens when the games begin on Saturday and the bids are processed on Wednesday at 5 PM EST.

5. For one hour after the bids are processed, claims will be locked.

6. Starting on Wednesday at 6 PM EST and ending on Saturday 5 minutes before the games begin, players can be claimed on a first come first serve basis. FCFS claims are free.

7. Players who played their games from Wednesday to Friday are not available to be picked up until the following week's bidding system. So you can not pick up the QB that scores 20 points in the first half on Thursday night. You must wait until the bidding process begins on Saturday. The system will not control this.

8. Players who play on Tuesday night later in the season can be bid on for the following day.

9. When you exhaust your $200, you can no longer bid on players. Your last bid must not take you over $200. Any transactions that occur due to this will be reversed ASAP.

10. You may claim players in FCFS even after you exhaust your $200.

BIDDING

1. Go to the TRANSACTIONS TAB. CLAIM/DROP is where you will bid on players and also where you will claim players in first come first serve.

2. Search for a player and highlight the player by clicking on his tab but not his name (which is a link to his player card).

3. Enter a bid in the window and then select a player to be dropped on the right.

4. When you hit submit claim/drop, a window will pop open. Make certain that you switch the added players status to "reserve". Make a habit of doing this because if you add a player with a "active" status and that results in a illegal lineup (i.e. 8 active RB's), the system will deny your claim even if you have the highest bid.

5. Hit Ok and you will be sent to the PENDING TRANSACTIONS screen. Found under the TRANSACTIONS tab, the PENDING TRANSACTIONS will allow to see what bids you currently have in the system.

-----October 31st Trade Deadline
-------Trading of draft picks and of players during the draft is allowed

-----All in season transactions will occur at Fantrax
-----There is no free agency prior to first week of games

To get some discussion going here: Would PPR help the health of the league? Seems like it could alleviate some of the QB-heaviness in the scoring and give an increased importance to drafting WR.

To be honest? I think the amount of draft picks make it too difficult for most of us to compete with those few of you who know about all of these random players. If I had my way, the league would be:

1. Major conferences only (SEC, PAc 12, Big 12, Big 10, ACC, Big East)

2. Start 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WR, 1 Flex, 1 TE, 1 def, 1 k

3. Head to head weekly competition

4. Weeks 11-13 playoffs

I know we won't do this and Ill join your draft anyhow, but I think a system more similar to pro-FF would be more fun

No offense, but that's the minute I walk away. Just put the money in a hat and draw for prizes.

There is no question that this league is a major challenge. At our biggest, we go deeper into the player pool than any league I have seen. I am in a 24 team head to head league that doesn't start as many players as this league.

The reason I like the size of the starting lineups is that it diminishes the affects of one player and in college football the elite players have unimaginable value. This league is about building a deep roster of production each week.

Exactly.

Dr. D, Sparty, TU, Tre, jag, Charlie, Berserker, Nipsey/Cappy -- there's your 8.

We will roll with 8 if all are in. Hopefully we can pick up a couple owners before the draft. We can push the draft back a few days and maybe start on Wednesday next week.

Get those rolls in.

Edit: Never mind, I should've read the OP, I won't be around until the 21st and the draft starts on the 14th.

this starts Monday?
----The draft will begin on Monday July 14th with a 4 hour week day timer from 7 am - 7 pm in drafter local time. The timer may be shortened if the draft is in danger of running into fall practices.
We will start on Wednesday July 16th due to the low number of owners but can't start much later without running into fall practices.

Also, the winnings will be adjusted. At 9 teams, I am thinking only rewarding the top 2 teams. $300 to the winner and $150 to 2nd place sound good?

I will be on vacation from 19th to 26th. Including heavy travel on both 19th and 26th. File this away for future consideration.

If its just down to Rud and no prospects for more players on the horizon, are we going to launch this thing tomorrow?

We will start Wednesday to give an extra couple days of prep. With only 8 teams, the draft doesn't need to start so early. We will be done by the time fall practice starts.

I screwed up my roll and left it on the default of 7 times at first. Sorry.

First roll was 713 though.
