Think about how visible that guy was for the last twenty years. Out in public, on tv, being involved just about 24/7 for over 20 years. I just can't imagine how much energy the guy put into that job for so long. And lots of fodder for some good laughs, too.

He definitely lived the job and no one flubbed better than he did but he genuinely cared about Boston .

the guy also had an incredible political machine
