NBA 2013-2014 BTTF II - Yo Mama is Champ, Abe sets new low mark (1 Viewer)

just noticed that I have Brandin Knight on my team instead of Brandon Knight. they both suck but I need the one who sucks slightly less please.

LARRY SANDERS! out six weeks. Due to a freaking bar fight. Effin Milwaukee.

<_<
And here I was all mad I missed out on him and had to settle for Ty Lawson with his measly 21.2 points and 8.7 assists per game.

On a related note, if anyone is having PG issues, I'll eventually be looking to trade Isaiah Thomas and his 25.1 PER for help up front.

Not going to lie: the Terrence Jones trade is looking better by the game. Doesn't make up for wasting a 5th on Steve Nash but whatever. 14 and 9 per 36 is solid.

Dan GAllinari - sf - Denver
Here's a guy that hasn't even begun running. /madden
Should be back by thanksgiving. Which is sooner than rondo.
Hmm, I'd take that bet. Rondo's was also a partially torn ACL, btw.
$20 - first guy to play 20 minutes in a game this year?
Sure, why not?
:FLEX:

Well, no one has died yet for my team. Seems like I could be .500 at least? A strong 2H out of Rondo would be nice. Also, Favors might be the only one that Ds up.

Felton, Rondo, E. Moore

Lamb, Wroten, Snell

Thad Young, Crowder

Love, Blatche, Scott

Favors, Blatche, Freeland

For the second year in a row injuries are killing me. Westbrook (1st), Nash (5th) and GAllinari (8th) equals a ####ty team. Beverly has missed time as have Jefferson and beal. Puke. Terrence jones was a nice find though.

Yo Mama #1 selects:

4.23 - Deandre Jordan, C LAC

This team could use a defensive, rebounding, low usage center who can't make free throws and makes sweet dunk faces.

Jordan should have even less competition for minutes this year, we'll see.

PG - Holiday

SG -

SF - Durant

PF - Milsap

C - Jordan
I was torn between Splitter and Jordan. Probably made the wrong pick.
It was down to those two for me too. You helped me choose.
This probably decided the league title.

My team will be very good, but passing on DeAndre Jordan's breakout season and giving it to the Durant team, in favor of Thiago ####### Splitter, that was the end of my title dreams right there.

PG: Ty Lawson, Isaiah Thomas, Chauncey Billups, Scott Machado

SG: James Harden, Mike Dunleavy, Anthony Morrow

SF: Kawhi Leonard, Draymond Green, Rashard Lewis, Solomon Hill

PF: J.J. Hickson, Nick Collison, DeJuan Blair

C: Tiago Splitter, Robin Lopez, Rudy Gobert, Cole Aldrich
My draft in review:

Harden and Lawson have produced as expected but little nagging injuries are hurting their minutes.

Leonard and Splitter were disappointments in terms of minutes even before they got hurt.

Hickson and Lopez have come through with the minutes and boards I needed from them, especially Lopez.

Thomas is arguably the SOD. I'll probably have to trade him or Lawson though.

The Bulls' disaster season has meant more minutes for Dunleavy, but it's hurt his efficiency a little bit.

Blair has been really good on a per-minute basis.

Collison, Draymond, Morrow and Lewis are decent end-of-the-bench fodder. The rest is unusable crap.

lol, whoops.

I can't get to the site from work, so I'll have to make the change later.
**ahem**

pretty sure I have a playoff team with:

Lin

Klay

Evan Turner

Ibaka

Duncan

good depth too with:

Sullinger

Singler

and a host of other getting 15-20 minutes per game

With the season winding down just wanted to take a look at my team. Surprised to see it ranked #5 in the roto standings despite blowing my 1st rounder on Igoudala (hopefully the SIM engine gives him really good D rating), betting on Granger and Bargnani being good (not even close), and Redick missing tons of games.

Here's my projected starting line up:

PG Kyle Lowry

SG Victor Oladipo

SF Andre Igoudala

PF Miles Plumlee

C Joakim Noah

My bench is filled with some minute eaters that are solid at best. Nothing to brag about, but some of the other teams might struggle to field a team minute wise so hopefully I can trade some of these guys to shore up my team a bit.

BENCH

- Perimeter Players:

JJ Redick

Randy Foye

Danny Granger

The Greek Freak

- Stretch 4s:

Andrea Bargnani

Ryan Kelly

Andrew Nicholson

- Bigs

Kosta Koufos

Darrell Arthur

Jeff Ayers

I'll need a big guy, have a lot of pretty good sg's.

I don't watch any Pistons games, how does Brandon Jennings shoot so poorly? Like I know he's bad, but come on.

This wasn't exactly confidential information going into the draft

Ugh, I just remember looking at the sim results last year and every damn game it seemed like he was jacking up 10 threes at a 30% clip. Good luck with that!

PG: Rajon Rondo - Ray Felton - E'Twaun Moore
SG: Jeremy Lamb - Tony Wroten
SF: Thad Young - Jae Crowder - Tony Snell
PF: Kevin Love - Andrey Blatche
C: Derrick Favors - Mike Scott - Joel Freeland

Garbage: Ben Gordon - MarShon Brooks - Anthony Bennett - Nemanja Nedovic - Erik Murphy

Looks like I could use some help at SG with some depth at PF to move. I do have enough minutes at each position this year, so that's cool. Hopefully some of these guys get decent D ratings...that's what will determine whether this team is any good or not.

I think my team has a chance to be competitive, but it depends on how some of the defensive ratings come out. I'm near the top in both FG% and 3PT%, and Griffin/Martin is a solid scoring 1-2 combination. Losing McGee for the season wiped out what I was hoping would be a solid eraser on D and took any title hopes out of the equation for this year.

PG: George Hill/Ramon Sessions/Shaun Livingston

SG: Kevin Martin/Ramon Sessions/Shaun Livingston

SF: Richard Jefferson/Kenneth Faried/Jared Dudley/Shaun Livingston

PF: Blake Griffin/Kenneth Faried/Mason Plumlee

C: Anderson Varejao/Blake Griffin/Mason Plumlee

Larry Sanders and the injury to CP3 basically killed my team.

PG - Chris Paul/Nick Calathes/Austin Rivers

SG - Demar DeRozan/Kentavious Pope

SF - Jeff Green/Harrison Barnes

PF - Luis Scola/Harrison Barnes

C - Spence Hawes/Luis Scola/Larry Sanders

Other Crap

Chris Andersen, Pero Antic, Phil Pressey, Dennis Schroeder, Shawne Williams

:bag:

Points: Tony Parker, Mario Chalmers, Norris Cole, Jason Terry, Garrett Temple

Wings: Gordon Hayward, Andrei Kirilenko, Marcus Thornton, Michael Beasley, James Anderson, Alan Anderson, Anthony Tolliver, Rip Hamilton

Bigs: Anthony Davis, Andrew Bogut, Ed Davis, Channing Frye, Tyler Zeller
I should have enough minutes to go around. I have no idea how WIS uses the rest.

Going purely off memory so hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised when I look back at the roster:

PG: Deron Williams - Brandon Jennings

SG: Joe Johnson - Arron Afflalo - Marco Bellynelly

SF: Shawn Marion - Al-Faruq Aminu

PF: Tristan Thompson - Reggie Evans

C: Pau Gasol

PG: John Wall, Pablo Prigioni

SG: Manu Ginobili, Ray Allen, Evan Fournier

SF: Paul Pierce, Jordan Hamilton/Steve Novak

PF: Chris Bosh, Mirza Teletovic

C: Kevin Garnett, Nene, Brandan Wright

Trash: Ricky Ledo, Toney Douglas, Glen Rice Jr., Austin Daye, Chase Budinger

Looks like I'm going to have juuuuuust enough minutes this year, baring any new injury.

Injuries killed me again. Westbrook and nothing out of gallinari mean I'll be using al Harrington types on purpose.

Guards: Westbrook, beal, Beverly.

Bigs: Jefferson, r Anderson, t jones.

Don't remember much else except I drafted Nash and okafor as well.

That's sure some bad luck with injuries. I mean, who could have predicted that?

6th in the fantrax scoring so that means I should at least have something to work with.

PG - Ricky Rubio / D.J. Augustin - these two cover my PG minutes and then some, I can also use a little of Devin Harris and shift somebody to SG for a bit

SG - Lance Stephenson / Danny Green - drafted Green to be a starter and Stephenson as a back up. Funny.

SF - Derrick Williams / Danny Green - I think I can balance all the perimeter minutes between these five and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, so I probably have some mediocre minutes to spare, from the same place I need to upgrade

PF - Demarcus Cousins / Josh McRoberts - McRoberts is definitely the biggest value of the draft for me and Cousins is my best player. These two will cover PF and about give me 10 or so minutes for my C position

C - Nikola Vucevic / Kris Humphries / McRoberts - If I end up using McRoberts to cover off some at SF (if he rates) I have Jon Leuer or Quincy Acy who should be able to take some C minutes.

Basically really flexible team with a lot of extra minutes, albeit no really star minutes. A lot of my minute distribution will depend on defensive ratings, but the following guys should be available for trade, with minutes by my estimation:

PG - Devin Harris - should end up at about 10 minutes per game

PG/SG - Gary Neal - about 15mpg

SF - Derrick Williams - about 20mpg

SF - Michael Kidd-Gilchrist - about 20mpg

PF - Quincy Acy - about 10mpg

F/C - Jon Leuer - about 10mpg

Ended up with a little trash - Otto Porter (5mpg), and Isaiah Caanan, Reggie Williams, and Romero Osby who combined for about 65 minutes played this entire season.

Anderson was unexpected.

PG- Carter Williams, Marshall, Vasquez

SG- Ariza, Shumpert, Hardaway Jr

SF- Evans, Bazemore

PF- Carmello, Biyombo, Robinson

C- Chandler, Biyombo, Robinson

I would trade a PG for Forward/Center help

still think I can find the playoffs with this team:

PG - Jeremy Lin/ Brandon Knight

SG - Klay Thomson/Kyle Singler

SF - Evan Turner/Kris Middleton

PF - Serge Ibaka/Jared Sullinger

C - Tim Duncan/Greg Stiemsma/Tyler Hansbrough

12th man - Nate Wolters/Will Bynum/Francisco Garcia

My 2 teams - some 2nd half injuries might make a few positions thin. The minutes are what I'm guessing they'll be eligible for, not what I'll play them. Each team has 13 so I'll have to trim 1 for my final roster cuts.

Team 1

PG - Holiday (14), Roberts (21), Brooks (16), Robinson (10)

SG - Korver (30), Waiters (24)

SF - DURANT (38), Carroll (29)

PF - Milsap (30), G Davis (21), Booker (18)

C - Jordan (35), Asik (9)

Team 2

PG - Bradley (22), Stuckey (23), Farmar (11), A Miller (11)

SG - Wade (24), Meeks (30)

SF - Parsons (34), JR Smith (28)

PF - Aldridge (30), L Allen (14), LRMAM (11)

C - Pekovic (23), Dalembert (19)

Team 1 probably has some extra 4/5 depth and could use help at the 1. Team 2 has lots of guys at the 2 and could probably use some help up front. Too bad I can't trade with myself.

James Jones played 17 minutes tonight, eclipsing the minimum 200 minute mark on the second to last game of the season.
