2012 Offseason Dynasty Trades (3 Viewers)

I'd like some thoughts on this one. I'm team A and took over a team in a league. I have Rodgers, Forte, and Dez Bryant, but need some startable pieces to compete. I think I can still get a very good player at 1.07, and I'm not sold on Blackmon.

Team A Gave

1.02

Ryan Mallett

Team B Gave -

1.07

Peyton Hillis

Deangelo Williams

Santonio Holmes

I don't put much stock in Hillis/DWilly/Holmes but at 1.07 there should still be someone halfway decent available as this is an incredible draft class.

Another one from me- Zealots scoring, non PPR. I'm the Giants. We went back & forth a couple of times before we settled on this. Buffalo Bills will giveJohnson, Chris TEN RB Kerley, Jeremy NYJ WR Nicks, Hakeem NYG WR Year 2013 Round 4 Draft PickTo New York Giants forIngram, Mark NOS RB Jones, Julio ATL WR Year 2013 Round 1 Draft Pick (prob late) Year 2013 Round 1 Draft Pick (prob mid)ETA: After recent moves I will now be starting Eli, Forte, CJ2K, JStew, Calvin, Fitz, Nicks, Graham on offense
You got hosed again.
No. Way. Ingram hopes he becomes Chris Johnson & Nicks is way ahead of Jones in my book
You win. Solid trade.
You sticking it to me? I think you're sticking it to me. (unless it's not sarcasm in which case just ignore)Really, if you think I got hosed I'd like to get more of a why you think so rather than just you think so.

16 team PPR/IDP with 40 man rosters. Basically, I saw it as 1.16 for Sean Lee and I upgraded across the board.

I gave up:

Louis Murphy

Emmanual Sanders

Travis Beckum

Erik Walden

Will Smith

rookie pick 1.16

He gave up:

Preston Parker

Mike Thomas

Kellen Davis

Damato Peko

Sean Lee

rookie pick 5.14

rookie pick 6.06

If all those trades are in the same league then it looks like it is non ppr, in which case I assume you either didn't catch that or are thinking of the wrong Baldwin. In fact, it doesn't look to me like there is a "best player" in that deal.

My only criticism would be you pulled the trigger too fast (I make that mistake at times still and I've been playing dynasty for years.) Had other owners (myself included) had known that the 1.02 was up for trade we would have made offers. In the end you may not have received a better offer than the one you took, but at least you would have had other options to consider and counter. WR's are gold in that league.

I don't disagree with that. I am actually really high on Santonio (I think he has a big bounce back), so he was the piece that put me over. You're right though, It probably would have served me well to hold off for a while. It was important to me to get a mid-first round pick, because I am not sold on Blackmon and don't need Luck or RGIII, so I think should be able to get one of the top guys on my board at 1.07.

10 team non-PPR, I needed help at RB so i really wanted to make sure i could get T Richardson

I gave:

Miles Austin

Benjarvus Green-Ellis

10th overall rookie pick

I received:

Denarius Moore

Kyle Rudolph

1st overall rookie pick

20th overall rookie pick

2013 3rd round rookie pick

What do you guys think?

Horrible.ETA: Horrible for the other guy. I'd be angry if I was in that league as that's a blatantly unbalanced trade.

That would have been a great deal for 1.01 alone. You got Moore, Rudolph and picks for free. Great deal!

Miles Austin is worth more than TRich in non-PPR? That's basically what the trade boils down to.

Recent trade in one of my leagues:

Team A gave - 1.02 and 3.08

Team B gave - 1.04 and 1.06

:o

This is a 12 team start 2 QB league. It is assumed Luck is going #1. This guy said he wanted to secure RGIII with the 1.02.

That would be a ridiculous deal for 1.1 alone, not great. Add in the 20th pick, a third next year, and the upside of young guys like Moore and Rudolph, oh boy am I jealous

Yep. Then that same guy offers me two middle 3rd round picks for my 1.08. I told him he threw the market out of whack and it was bad business to come at me with what he did.

Trying to get this team in order. Here's another one

Team A Gave - Peyton Hillis

Team B Gave - Jacoby Ford, 2.05

Upgraded across the board? No. I'd much rather have what you gave up.

CP, you might mention that team X owns ADP for full disclosure.

Wow you bent him over good. I'd have taken just the 1st for what you gave up, but you got some nice pieces thrown in.

Another one...Team A Gave: Mario ManninghamTeam B Gave:Randall Cobb2.06 (18th rookie pick)
Maybe it's just me but I have Cobb higher than Manningham in dynasty. 2.06 is just icing.
That's what I was thinking too. We were going back and forth on different offers and he threw this one out, so I accepted. I am actually pretty high on Manningham, but I like the option of having Cobb a little better...especially since I own Aaron Rodgers as well.

 I'm assuming you think the RG3/Gronk side is better. RG3 could easily bust and Cam is proven.

Maybe I'm too high on Cam Newton but I wouldn't trade him for a rookie QB, even RGIII, and a top tight end. Let alone throw in Andre Johnson to boot.
I don't think it's a bad trade really. As good as Cam is, Gronk broke records this year too.
I know and Cam still put up 100 more fantasy points.

I wouldn't compare Cam to Gronk -- QBs score more than other positions. What you do is compare Gronk with every other TE and see how he compares. Same with Cam.
