Who is Joe Biden? (1 Viewer)

No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.

I bet none of those people vote anyway.

If there's one thing I've learned from the voter ID threads, it's that people who are completely disengaged from society apparently muster the energy one day a year to cast an informed vote on election day.

I'd argue with you over what the bolded means anyhow. Does someone who listens to Rush Limbaugh 3 hours a day every day cast an "informed vote"? That listener no doubt knows who Joe Biden is, knows what most of the issues are, but IMO is likely (if he believes Rush, who lies consistently) to cast a misinformed vote. Is an uninformed voter more dangerous than a misinformed voter? Who knows? I could see both ways.

But none of this matters anyhow. We've had both uninformed and misinformed voters since this country started. Andrew Jackson was elected because rednecks believed he was "their guy". They didn't understand about the issues, or care. John F. Kennedy was elected because on TV he looked more handsome than Richard Nixon. That was his most important qualification. Jimmy Carter was elected because he smiled more than Gerald Ford and Ford seemed to bump into stuff (which was magnified on SNL by Chevy Chase.) And Barack Obama beat out Hillary Clinton for the Democratic Nomination because once black voters realized he could win, they dominated caucus voting in the South, because they wanted a black President.

That's the way our country is, and always have been. Americans are ignorant about politics because we are prosperous and most people don't care about political stuff until they have to. Point to me any country in the world in which most of the public is well-informed on political issues and everybody votes, and I'll tell you without even knowing the details that it's a country in crisis.

Sad thing is you are probably wrong.

What percent of American adults can't answer the question Who is Joe Biden? 1%? 5?% 10%?

A little over 50% of US adults vote in presidential elections (far less in non presidential elections) I find it hard to believe its the least informed of people voting.

####### neighbor in my old apartment complex. Always managed to show up when we smoked weed and never brought his own. #### block you for fun and make fun of cripples. Don't call me I'll call you **** weed.

Yes because I am sure no one answered right and those answers weren't used.So yes this heavily edited comedy bit should establish that Americans are idiots who don't know who the VP is. I guess you guys also believe reality TV is real.

Cripes what a curmudgeon. No kidding they only use the crazy answers. The point of a comedy bit is to be funny

The fact that there are any grown adult Americans who don't know who the VP is is sad.

NCC's dead inside.
Hardly. I just think drawing conclusions about the American people from some hackneyed sidewalk comedy bit is more than silly. I laugh at the idiots I just don't think everyone is an idiot because of them.
