Starting up a $75 32 team PPR NFL-themed Salary Cap Auction Dynas (1 Viewer)

After participating in and acting as commisioner for multiple dynasty leagues over the years, I'm looking to take things to the next level with a 32 team, NFL themed dynasty league designed to mimick the real NFL in as many ways as possible.

The basics:

-$75 per team entry fee, using leaguesafe. 100% of funds received, less MFL Deluxe hosting fee, will be disbursed to Super Bowl teams, AFC/NFC champions, division champions, etc.

-Two conferences, each with their own environment of players (for example, the Bills and the Giants can both have Peyton Manning, but the Bills and the Jets could not)

-Team names and logos are locked to maintain continuity and similarity to the NFL (league participants choose actual NFL teams).

-1QB, 1RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2 WR/TE/RB flex positiions on offense and 2DE, 1DT, 3LB, 4DB, 2 DE/DT/LB/DB flex positions on defense allow for various formations and position combinations, as is the case in the NFL.

-Scoring is tailored to try to place equal value on all positions (not a typical league where IDP can be an afterthought)

This year will feature simaltaneous NFC and AFC rookie/veteran auctions. Salary cap will be implemented and contract lengths will be assigned, up to 5 years. Subsequent offseasons will feature a free agent auction and a rookie draft with salaries assigned to draft picks.

I will be setting up an MFL site and getting the bylaws drafted in the next couple days if interest is strong - 16 team auctions take a long time to get finished up, and we will be hard pressed to finish everything in time if we don't start in the next week or two.

If interested, please send me a private message with your fantasy football background (years of overall experience, dynasty/salary cap experience, etc.) as well as your team preference. If approved I'll reserve the team for you and then send you an inviation when I have the league site up and running. I'm going to take the Bills, but it's not like anyone else will be standing in line to take them anyways...

I'm looking for experienced owners who are dedicated and understand the work and FF knowledge a league of this format requires, but at the same time I'm also looking for owners who understand that at the end of the day it's only a game and the point is to have fun.

I'm also looking for a co-commisioner to help out with the administration of the league.

If you're interested in joining, or if you have any questions, let me know!

Jon, what does that emoticon mean? Not sure I understand
I'm sure it'll still be a strong league, but I would not count that scoring system as one that put IDPs as more than a minor afterthought.
I'm going to disagree with that...here is the score per game of the average of the top five players at each position based on prior year stats:

LB - 16.42

CB 11.98

S 14.81

DE 16.08

DT 14.34

RB 17.66

WR 16.82

TE 14.62

Granted, there is a larger degree of player depth at IDP positions, but there are also increased starting requirements at IDP positions. I'm not sure how IDP could be considered a "minor afterthought" when DE's receive 3.5 points per tackle

Are you sure you linked the correct league? I'm seeing much different numbers for the offense (top 5 RB @ 24.4/game; top 5 TE @ 18.2/game).

Jon, the site is still under construction and the scoring system hasn't been fully updated. There are numerous stat lines, such as RB rushing yards and TE receptions that haven't been touched yet. I posted the site so people could read the bylaws.

That does explain why you were so insistent that the scoring system wasn't balanced though!
