***Official "Saving Christmas" (Kirk Cameron) Discussion*** (1 Viewer)

Love the snippets of reviews on rotten tomatoes

"How do you prove a horse is an animal? Because I like Sweden. That's the style of absurd logic that happens in "Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas" ...Penny Walker Arizona Republic

"Cameron's preferred tool of engagement is a prybar, applied to your eyelids with an indelicate hand."John Serba MLive.com

"As a movie, Saving Christmas is not good. But as a teaching aid for congregants about having their fruitcake and eating it, too? Sure, why not. Go nuts, guys."Kimberley Jones Austin Chronicle

I wonder how this got more than one star.
Wackadoo evangelicals.
I live with one (we have a happy birthday sign and balloons in out window). We went to see it and the only reason we didn't walk out was because we paid full bhote for this piece of ####. If Cameron walked in my door I would punch him in the nose and take my $22.50 back...then ask for forgiveness
I'm listening........

According to today's report from Box Office Mojo, Saving Christmas played on 294 screens this weekend, a 17-screen increase from last week after opening on 410 screens two weeks ago. The film's per screen average of $495 was the lowest of all films tracked. With an average ticket price of $8.00, that means a total of about 33 people attended this weekend's 15 showings at each theater. That's two people per showing. But everybody got a great seat!

Funny, there were 5 people in the theater when we went. The other 3 were over 65 :bag:

Your wife is evangelical and you're not? If so, are you religious at all?

And you really have happy birthday Jesus in your window? I've never seen that before.

No lie

I'm religious, I'm just not nuts like her. It's been an interesting relationship since she's become ultra religious. Been about 6 years now and it's gotten progressively worse each year. This year she pitched all the kids Christmas DVD's that didn't have some kind of biblical basis to it (think the Grinch, Frosty, etc). It's a slice.

You might consider showing up for sexy time with the top half of a Grinch costume, but without pants. Report back your findings.

Since you don't seem to mind sharing, what pushed her deeper into religion? Something bad happen in the family? She meet some new people? And by your tone, you're clearly not into it, do you see the marriage working long term?

Christmas shopping started earlier than ever this year

Christmas decorations were up earlier than ever

hell the radio station in my area that plays 100% Christmas Music from Thanksgiving on started the first week of November this year

Christmas needs no saving, in fact someone had better save Thanksgiving FROM Christmas...it seems like Christmas is Russia and Thanksgiving is Ukraine and Christmas has moved its troops right the hell into thanksgiving and set up shop

It's like.....it's like I don't even know you anymore, man.

One day, somebody is going to peek closely into the life of Kirk Cameron and find something very disturbing. Like, Michael Jackson/Jerry Sandusky disturbing. He ain't right.

I don't mind sharing but I'll probably not go into too much more depth here. I'm not exactly sure what pushed her into the place she is today other than she is one that needs 'something' in her life. There are a lot of little things that probably led to where she is in her walk but she's happy and I tend to stay out of the depths she dabbles in. I spend all day at church on Sundays, we work with the small kids in kids church doing volunteer stuff. It's not all bad and like I said, I'm religious as well, I'm just not a zealot like she is. I have some very good friends at church and I like to think I'm fairly well respected there.
It's like.....it's like I don't even know you anymore, man.
Don't worry bud, I'm the same old ####### you always knew. I just smile more now. And I agree with you about Cameron, dude like that has some skeletons someplace.

:lmao:

That said, if they push Christmas into Thanksgiving, we'll get prime rib for Thanksgiving, which beats dry breast meat any day of the week.

And we can still have mashed and gravy or butter.
