Resurrection (ABC) - Anyone Watching? (1 Viewer)

My wife knows someone working on the show so we decided to check it out. I've already seen the French show about people returning from the dead (not zombies, alive) 'Les Revenants' and this is somewhat similar.

Entertaining, but the start of the second season blew off what happened in the season one finale and started over. Some interesting characters have been coming back but I'm not sure where the overall story is headed.

Anyway, I'm in so unless the show gets really ridiculous I'll be riding it out (after The Walking Dead since they are both on Sunday nights).

I watched the 1st episode and found it intriguing, but consciously bailed at that point and haven't watched since.

I could sense a long, drawn out, meandering, and probably unsatisfying series of episodes ahead, when all I really wanted to know was why they were coming back from the dead.

I'm watching. Watched all of last season and both episodes so far this season, although I started falling asleep in the second episode. Not sure where they are going with this show, they really changed things up.

I'll hang in there cause I love these type of shows even though they get cancelled 95% of the time and leave me hanging. (See Awake, Alcatraz, Journeyman, V, Flashforward, The Event)

There was a thread about the show during season 1 and nearly all of the feedback was negative. I'm still watching for much the same reason stated above, but it is definitely something I record to watch later. I hope they get enough of a heads-up when the show is being cancelled that they can finish it with some explanation of what has been happening and why.

They actually knew enough ahead of time that Awake was getting the axe to rush it to a conclusion - it was an unsatisfying conclusion though.

They didn't, it was filmed before it was cancelled. They were moving forward with season 2 with this ending.

Haven't watched any of this. Conceptually, it sounds like it would make a better mini-series. Stringing mysteries along for 20+ episodes a season can get very old.

Interesting. It seemed like they tried to make that the ending, but evidently I was wrong. Sucked that was such a good show.

i stuck with the first season though it was falling off towards the end. I havent been motivated to catch the second season yet but its on my dvr for when i get bored. Im hoping its better.

Just deleted the 2nd season from my DVR. Caught bits and pieces of Season One, but never really got into it. Thought I would pick it up this season again, but just no interest there.

About halfway done the 1st season. Funny how Omar Epps is paired with a chick that looks exactly like 13 from House. In fact, it seems they like that look on this show as she's not the only one.

I went about halfway into Awake and thought the writing was terrible when they started in on the conspiracy angle or whatever it was.

Ugg, it's basically a soap opera now.

Can someone spoiler what the big change was to start the second season? I bailed with a couple episodes left in S1.

Can't want to get caught up now.
I'll continue watching to see if they get to something interesting but through four episodes this season I'm not liking it. There's potential but it's taking way too long...season two of the Walking Dead but without anything exciting.

I was in a movie with the woman who plays Barbara - the cops resurrected, estranged wife and the 'cauliflower eared' thug (Randy) who is the enforcer for the FBI lady is a regular member of my poker game and a good friend.

That's why I started watching. Overall, reasonably entertaining. I'll stick with it.

I actually felt it picked up this season. Looking forward to seeing where it is going. Definitely brought out the whole "evil" aspect this season.

She's also one of the Termites, right?

Yes. In a dark wig, not her natural ginger

Picked up a bit with last night's episode, but it's still a soap opera and likely to get canceled.

She went and got herself killed in two different shows on the same night.

Randy is lucky it wasn't a gun.

Got a 11.11% bump in the 18-49 demo last night. Might be too little, too late but it will be interesting if they get better ratings with the Walking Dead on break.

For anyone who gave up on the show but is curious about the explanation for everything that has been happening, the season (and possibly series) finale will be this Sunday night. The episode this past Sunday gave very strong suggestions about what has been going on, but I guess confirmation will come in the finale.
