By The Sea Wannabe (143.40/141.05/284.45) vs. Phenix (138.00/107.9/245.9) The closest race heading into the final week wasn’t so close in the end.

Big Grats to ByTheSea for winning two leagues, and Ref for his DOMINATING season in MBSL2.

Thanks to all. Fun season, first time doing these drafts. Looking back at my draft I'm still trying to figure out what went right (certainly wasn't my 3rd-5th round picks of sproles, Griffin and Alexander). Think it was just consistent scoring. Only got immunity once (around week 11 or 12) and it allowed me to stay alive the next week. Looking forward to wsl (only a few weeks away!)

Congrats to all the winners......and thanks to all those involved in keeping these things up and running...truly a ton of fun and a great way to "stay in shape" during the off season. I really hope we can keep these and the Anarchy Leagues going.

Below is the roster that took down the MBSL 2 folks. I'd like to say it involved tremendous all around top to bottom drafting, incredible depth, textbook bye week management, nailing sleepers like 2 dollar ho's, and mixed with a splash of the Ref's stone cold lead pipe lock drafting strategies.

But the truth is......I rode Manning like a rented mule.

He was basically (on weekly avg) a 10 point advantage over anybody not named Brees. And he had Brees by 5+ plus points.

However, while Manning surely deserves the MVP award from a statistical point of view (he started for me every week excpet his bye), in no way shape or form is he deserving of the true MVP of this team in this format. Gordon started for me every week as well except for his bye and two week suspension. Having only drafted 5 WR's and losing Wayne for the season, Gordon's big games down the stretch were timely. A steal in the 6th round. Forte and Lacy were solid contributers and SEA DST may have well been worth the 10th round pick.

But the true MVP award is shared by Knowshon Moreno and Delanie Walker, who were drafted in the 14th and 17th rounds. Having #### the bed with the Sudfeld pick in the 7th and Ausberry never taking a snap, Walker was basically riding solo and came away with basically a top 10 finish at TE from a weekly average standpoint....not bad for a 17th rounder in a 16 team league. Moreno started 11 of the 17 weeks. Very nice surprise giving me 3 of the top 8 RB's to help cover struggles at WR and TE. Getting the RB4 at the 14.04 pick was pretty much a flyer as at the time of the draft the RB situation in DEN wasn't really clear....hitting the right guy paid off.

WSL's start at 8:00 am the morning after the Super Bowl right.....?.....let's tee it up..... :banned:

These leagues are a blast every year and I too would like to thank those who have organzed them, ran the various drafts and provided scoring and commentary along the way. I have participated in these for several years and have enjoyed them all. This group of drafters is top notch and going so early as many of them do, takes quite an accomplishment (and a little luck) to last a long time and especially to win a championship.

I have had many solid teams and some not so much, but get my first ever championship with the below roster. It had abundant injuries and even had one player cut in mid-season and was most definitely not dominating in any way. It managed to grab immunity twice, but finished only eight in overall scoring, but somehow managed to slip along week to week.

1.3 A. Foster RB 106.5 IR

2.14 Chris Johnson RB 244.2

3.3 Hakeem Nicks WR 145.6

4.14 Dwayne Bowe WR 154.3

5.3 T. Romo QB 381.2

6.14 J. Finley TE 98.0 IR

7.3 P. Rivers QB 422.2

8.14 M. Floyd WR 201.4

9.3 S. Rice WR 56.1 IR

10.14 Celek TE 150.2

11.3 K. Allen WR 223.6

12.14 S. Greene RB 63.4

13.3 Ravens DST 120.0

14.14 Hartley PK 107.0 FA

15.3 Gostowski PK 158.0

16.14 Eagles DST 121.0

17.3 R. Woods WR 118.3

18.14 J. Randle RB 42.5

19.3 Da'Rick Rogers WR 42.5

20.14 K. Davis RB 66.7

WSL 1: hung on against top two teams in league to pull the title out. Didn't think I had a shot, but if you've got a chip and a chair anything is possible...

My first ever survivor draft and honestly had no idea how best to approach this. My strategy was to go with two stud RBs in top 3 if possible and have 3 starting RBs in first 6 rounds. I thought I had accomplished this but obviously it didn't work out that way. I wasn't as much in tune with potential offseason change and even though I knew Lloyd and McGahee may not come back to there teams I assumed they would (same went for Hanson). Once Alexander was hurt I started the season with 4 players not on a roster/on IR. Couple that with only one defense and one kicker and I figured to be an early out, the one defense ended up being a blessing in disguise as one team took a 3rd defense which is the only reason why I got Bell who was no doubt my MVP. Also, my 3 headed attack at TE worked out well particularly with Gates coming out hot.

1.7 McCoy

2.10 Demarius Thomas

3.7 Sproles

4.10 RG3

5.7 Danario Alexander

6.10 McGahee (oops)

7.7 Gates

8.10 Brandon Lloyd (oops)

9.7 S Holmes

10.10 Alex Smith

11.7 Lafell

12.10 Cordarelle Patterson

13.7 Zach Ertz

14.10 Zach Miler

15.7 Falcons DST

16.10 Jason Hanson (oops)

17.7 Novak

18.10 Gabbert

19.7 Daniel Thomas

20.10 LeVeon Bell

Key contributors:

McCoy, Thomas, Gates, Lafell, RG3,Alex Smith, Patterson (2nd half MVP), Bell (MVP)

Busts:

Sproles, Alexander, McGahee, Lloyd, Holmes, Hanson, Gabbert

As I look at this further I still can't believe this team was able to come through given 5 of my first 9 picks busted. Shows you that the end of the draft can be as important as the beginning. Thanks again to all who kept this going this year can't wait to get the playoff draft going tomorrow!
