R.Mathews Concussion update (1 Viewer)

Any news on Mathews and his concussion recovery progression? He's not currently listed on the Chargers Injury report.

 
I've scoured the net today and found nothing. That usually doesn't happen, and I'm surprised he's not on the report.

 
Mathews looked pissed on the sideline in the shot I saw. With the hyper sensitive concussion police it wouldnt surprise me to hear he was probably okay to go back in but was held out due to the fact it was a "head injury"

 
McCoy gives out zero info. You won't know till the injury report is out. Even then it will be murky till game time more than likely.

BTW the Charger Dr's have been VERY cautious with concussions this year. All of the guys that have had a concussion have been held out the following week. Dunlap has already been out 2.

As Thorton stated above, maybe they held him out because it as a head related injury, and it wasn't necessarily a concussion? The fact that the team doctors have been incredibly cautious with concussions this year would add fuel to that speculation.

It was undoubtedly a concussion. Chargers have already stated as such.

Maybe like in the old sitcoms, he hit his head and it made him opposite, so he'll be really good now.

You should be flexing Woodhead anyways. He's an RB1 until he proves he's not, Mathews or no Mathews.Unless you play non-PPR, maybe this isn't the case there.

I can't imagine it will be a GTD with a concussion. With a knee or ankle, maybe. With the head, I don't think they will want it to look like he's playing at anything less than 100%. If he doesn't practice today or tomorrow, he won't play.
