1pm - Eddie Lacy [P] - RB, GB - to split carries with Starks? (1 Viewer)

Sigmund Bloom ‏@SigmundBloom 10m10 minutes ago
active, but slightly behind starks on my rankings #shrug RT @AlbertBreer Eddie Lacy workload will be monitored

Yea, not looking good.. Add in they are in Buffalo who are the #8 ranked Defense against the run = bad timing :kicksrock:

Are people liking starks over lacy? I have both and am torn on this. Also have jennings...hate these splitting carries situations

Honestly, I haven't seen anything to suggest that Starks will get more work. This is a big game for GB to try and get a bye and I wonder if the Julio effect (hip) may be getting Lacy's expectations lowered. He's active, he was listed as probable and he practiced, albeit limited, so it seems a little strange that I see so much worry about him. No way I am not starting him when he is probable and active. Maybe I get burned, but he is so involved in the passing game lately and with a big pass rush, I think he will get a lot of looks and the past 6 games, he has been really effective in the passing game.

Went and put Starks in. Have a feeling this game might be like the Giants game last week. Jennings role was going to be based on the game flow and it ended up not even being close and Williams went over 100. Rodgers comes out firing today and they sit Lacy to heal him more and let Starks take the beating.

Been a few reports this morning that Lacy's work load will be watched and the game plan is already set at a 50/50 split with Starks..

Throw in the Bills are the #8 ranked Defense against the run plus If Lacy shows any ill effects of his Hip injury early they could sit him to rest and yea :oldunsure:

Bills are giving up 4.6 YPC over the last five games.

Has any of that come from the coaching staff? I have seem a lot of "reports" that are repeating one statement of opinion. What has Lacy done that the game plan was supposed to be 50/50? 5 of his last 5 games have been 20+ points in PPR. You are going to sit that in a bad match up when he is active and probable because of what some writers posted and other writers re-posted? I'll go down with the ship that got me here. If he was questionable and there was a chance he was going to be inactive, maybe, but this isn't the same as Julio's hip and GB has a ton to play for in this game.

One other note, in the last 6 games, Lacy has averaging 11 points per game in receptions (PPR). Half of his value recently has been receiving, so the issue isn't Starks getting carries. In the last 6 games, he has more than 14 carries twice. 25 carries in his best of the 6 games and 21 carries in his only non 20 point game (12). Again, if he is playing, I am starting him.

I'm trying to think of a scenario where benching Lacy for Starks is the shark play.

Whether it's PPR vs. Standard. Projected to win big or in a close matchup. I honestly can't think of one barring Lacy tweaking something in warm-ups.

Agreed, I think the Bills D helps Lacy be more valuable because of dump offs due to pressure. As I mentioned above in Lacy's hot streak that receiving has been half of his PPR points. Also, this could be a must win to get a bye/home field advantage. Seattle is one game back and beat the Packers. The Packers can't just relax.

 No one will know for sure until about 3pm Central time ;)

Just been watching ESPN/Fox/CBS since about 10AM this morning and saw many sideline reporters stating they were told from the coaching staff that 50/50 was the game plan and Lacy would be monitored to see how his hip is..

He could have a CJ game where he doesn't play other then Goal line carries and gets 3 TD's or end up playing the first quarter and then sits the rest of the game..

Just too much uncertainty for me, and it will probably costs me as that's my luck int he playoffs, but I am sitting Lacy for Jonathan Stewart who will have 90% of the carries vs. a Bad Bucs D.. :scared:

Its a risk either way for me...AJ Green flexing fir Lacy. Going with what I feel is a higher floor with just as much upside.

sitting him for Edelman in a 1pt PPR.

uugggh, it seems so wrong. At least Edelman's floor is 8 targets

I tried to warn you. No way I was sitting Lacy when he is probably/active. He got me 18 in PPR, which is great, although honestly I am surprised he only got 2 receptions.
