CPA? What's the new position?
Nah, but I'll be taking it this year. New position is for a smaller company (less than 10 employees) but millions in revenue. They sell a commodity to larger, manufactering companies. I don't really have a title but I guess assistant controller? Controller?

Why wait until after you leave public accounting to become a Certified Public Accountant?

It helps no matter if you are in public or private. It looks good. Think of it like having a masters degree.
And you don't need to be a CPA to work for a public accounting firm (but is obviously better to be one).
I mix it up but I do like to buy in short. I know why it's bad but it always, almost always, works better for me.

I understand how it works. I just find it a little odd that you waited until you left to pursue it. Good luck with the test. I just passed my last 2 parts in February.
