I love the Jimmy Ward switch to CB, that has got to be like getting Honey Badger stats at the CB position right? Maybe not as good as HB in all seriousness but better than the ave CB i have to think.

Does the Ngata change make sense at this point? That's a big deal in one of my leagues, and I haven't seen anything official at all.

If Woodley maintains the DE classification, I like him a pretty decent bit this year. If they intend to play him with his hand in the dirt on the left, he should get a bunch of tackle opportunities. The past few years he's been juuuust weak enough vs. the run that I expect opposing OCs will attempt to exploit him. He isn't a complete loss in the run game though, and in healthy years past has more than held his own. He's strong as hell for his size and, to me, looked like he was almost tailor made to be a 4-3 LDE when he was at U of M. Always wondered what could've been had he landed in that kind of a situation from jump. May get to find out now.

If the opportunities for stops pile up for him, he's going to get his share. He'll get his shots in as a pass rusher too. Of course, he has to stay motivated and healthy....which hasn't exactly been his strong suit since he got the big contract from Pittsburgh. We'll see, I guess.

MFL has to change this guy back to S before the season starts, right? It makes no sense that they are listed him as CB. I actually only picked him up because I think the as change is imminent. He holds much greater value at S IMO.

I've read that he's going to be used as nickel corner this year. He's definitely a safety long-term, but CB could stick as his position this year.

I've read that he would play S primarily but also line up in the Nickel spot for some packages/scheme fits. I'm not sure which he will play more. SF is listing him as a DB right now but other sites are listing him as a S.

barring injury, he is going to get more playing time as the nickel than the 3rd guy in their safety rotation. more and more teams are doing this right now with the "big nickel" specialized safety.

It looks like they did another one a few weeks ago. I only noticed when they changed Jimmy Ward from CB to S.

I think they do it again following preseason games, right?

U guys think J. Peppers will stay at DE? He will likely be worthless as a LBer in most leagues
Pretty sure he will be changed. Ive cut him in the leagues where I owned him in anticipation of this.

I think from now on he will be a better NFL player than fantasy player. Avoid.

The following player position changes will be made on Saturday, August 30th, to bring our player database up-to-date with the Rotoworld.com depth charts:

  • ARI: Tommy Kelly from DT to DE
  • DAL: Jemea Thomas from S to CB
  • GB : Khyri Thornton from DT to DE
  • GB : Letroy Guion from DE to DT
  • GB : Mike Pennel from DE to DT
  • GB : Julius Peppers from DE to LB
  • MIA: Walt Aikens from CB to S
  • MIN: Chris Crocker from S to CB
  • PIT: Cam Thomas from DE to DT
  • SF : Aaron Lynch from DE to LB
  • TEN: Marqueston Huff from S to CB
  • WAS: Everette Brown from DE to LB

I was worried Chandler Jones and Ninkovich were going to be relisted as LBers.
I doubt Rotoworld will be making any major changes to their depth charts before Thursday. They've been asleep at the wheel on this one. There was some reason to be worried, but Belichick did us a solid by barely playing his starters until late in the preseason.
