Both articles are very important. But I doubt you'll get conservatives to comment on them. I've noticed that conservatives these days rarely ever talk about President Bush, and when they do they act as if they disapproved of everything he did as President, including the Iraq War.

He should own yours as well. The decision to invade Iraq was THE decision that has dominated our lives for the past 10 years, just as Vietnam dominated the 60s and early 70s. The consequences of that decision, both in terms of foreign policy, domestic policy, economics, virtually every aspect of our lives is monumental. Obama's presidency is defined by this event, and the next President will be as well.tommyboy said:

What that means, tgunz, is I think he is essentially a good guy. I think we saw the real George Bush after the 2006 election, when he was both humble and gracious. That was the George Bush who fought for immigration reform, who spoke out against bigotry toward Arab-Americans, who tried to help solve Aids in Africa and made a big difference, who overrode the conservatives in his party and pushed through TARP because he knew it was good for the country.

My sister in law works on the Aids initiative in Africa, which is incredibly important work for our world, and which Bush put in place. I give Bush credit where he deserves it (sadly, that is rare), and I dont think he was "responsible" for 9/11--I think he had the best chance to stop it and he was asleep at the wheel. He was the steward of our nation and wasnt paying attention to our enemies at the time.
I have done the math, and Obama would have to do 64 Obamacares, 437 Benghazis, and 124.7 IRS scandals before he can overtake President George W Bush as the worst President in US history. I dont think he has time to get all that done.
