So it begins. Cowboys Sean Lee exited practice today with an apparently bad knee injury. MRI will happen this evening at 5 pm.

Ouch, Dal and can't catch a break. He's critical to their success.
Agreed. The only positive for Dallas if this injury was going to be major one causing him to miss the season or significant time would be they know well enough in advance and can make the proper adjustments instead of in season. He is an amazing player, but he is entering that territory of you can't count on him to be the main part of your defence due to injury after injury.

I happened to be at Valley Ranch for a corporate thing (our business partners were entertaining clients at a sports camp deal) a few years ago and was talking to the Cowboys Director of Scouting at the time (the war room was part of the client camp experience). He pointed out that they took Lee in the 2nd because they had a first round grade on him, and were one of the handful of teams that hadn't taken him off their boards entirely due to medical concerns. He said they were convinced with Sean's mentality that any medical issue he faced, he'd rehab like a banshee and return to the field the exact same guy the following year.

Well he does rehab like a banshee... he just does it a WHOLE lot more frequently than they expected.

Feel bad for Sean Lee... helluva football player. Just cannot stay healthy... it's reaching Thomas Davis proportions at this point - hope he can come back as healthy as TD finally did.

The fear is it is most likely torn left ACL. If so obviously done for the season for Lee. MRI will confirm it later today.
