Sammy3479, what happened to you and TUP in Uber?
I gave up years ago....he's was running it last I knew...I hardly see him on these boards anymore though.
I saw a pic of him throwing a frisbee in someone's yard recently on FB, so I know he's alive at least.
I know he got more responsibility at work and hasn't been seen since, he pops in the futbol and NYC threads every once in awhile....same thing will probably happen to me May 1, changing jobs and I may actually have to work :shudder:
Sugar mama down?
Nope, it's just time...got a pretty sweet gig that may require even less work and pays more, just a more "fluid" Internet situation. I guess work should be "work".

Any chance you guys pay your past year uber dues before leaving for good?

Way too much talk of real work on this page. Thankfully we still have uni and homer to balance things out.
I'm on Spring Break. Doing absolutely nothing today except nursing a hangover. I'll probably get a short nap in a couple of hours. If I feel half-human I might work out. Probably not though.

Not going to lie, Smashing Pumpkins discography between 93 and 98 (3 regular albums, 1 double-album) is on-par with any non-Beatles 5 year run.

Oh and I hope she doesn't have any real erasers that need clapping. Whiteboards all the way.
Racist.
You know who else used chalkboards? Hitler.
Nice photo, Einstein.
Is this some second-level shtick or has Henry not figured Tanner out yet?
It's a picture of Einstein. I was just continuing the joke. Poorly.

I might be in love with zooks' teacher. Unless he's making up all this dialogue, which has consequences I'd rather not contemplate 80% of the time.

Gish is the best album they put out. Corgan got kinda swishy with late 90's work. "Landslide" cover perhaps the worst cover known to man.

ah, the old shtick-on-top-of-shtick - "shtickception"

We need to go deeper.

You see, in your middle-years a phenomenon called "Rock N Roll" came to have significant influence in the music and culture of not just the USA, but the entire industrialized world. Gone were the big band and ragtime hits of your youth, replaced by smaller bands that featured drums, bass and guitar. Get this: the guitars were electrified! Some 40 years later, a band called "Smashing Pumpkins" began releasing "CDs".

I am suggesting that those same CDs represent a very high quality of work.

3/10

smahing pumpkins were ok

Heard a first on our flight into Cancan. While we were filling out our Customs forms just prior to landing, one of the attendants was giving instructions.

"You cannot carry fruit, vegetables, animals, firearms, vegetables (again!), or -""

(at this point, Mata and I were laughing from veggies being mentioned twice)

Then she yells "or.......MEAT!!!" and we both lost it. The attendant seemed on the verge of giggles but couldn't let loose; Mata & I had no such restraints and cracked up.

Can't imagine what may have made the airlines include something as odd as meat being a no-no.

:bs: Everyone in their 30's has gotten laid at least once with DMB's "Crush" playing and Pumpkins' "Mellen Collie" playing on the CD player. (not at the same time of course).

Yeah but have you ever gotten laid with "The Wheels on the Bus" in the background? Good times!

And I'm speaking about when I used to date a kindergarten teacher. Sick bastards.

Abe, I'll admit I don't like the Pumpkins but......

I think any objective person would put a 5 year run by Stevie Wonder, the Stones, Zep, Prince, and 3 different P Funk combos over anything those guys did. Hell, Grand Funk had a better run than those guys did from a consistency standpoint.

I enjoy a Smashing Pumpkins song every now and then, but that nasally lead singer's voice prevents them from being great, IMO.

Those of us in our 40's had to make do with "Crash" and "Mellon Collie."
Good Lord. Is that what you really got laid to? I get "Let's Get It On" and you get "Crash"? Christ, population should be plummeting unless people are ####### just to shut the noise out.

No, I was just making fun of his misspellings.

I had Joshua Tree and the Lost Boys soundtrack. You haven't lived until you rocked it to "Cry Little Sister" with a really freaky chick.

Edit: in legwarmers.

If the Dave Matthews Band makes your ###### (edit: VAGINA) wet, you should be thrown into an incinerator.

Gish and Siamese Dream are both pretty great. Can't vouch for anything beyond that.
