Why won't the NL adopt the DH? (1 Viewer)

the 2 rules have gone on long enough and make this interleague crap even more confusing. i mean, what would be the NFL equivalent? AFC allowing 12 players? I dont know of any other pro league that has multiple rules that effect the true essence of the game. i feel the NL is at a disadvantage signing FAs and the teams aren't built to have an extra bat. but then the AL loses usually a very mid roder type bat.

i like the purity of the NL, but every league uses the DH now except for the summer cape cod i think.

Why won't the AL ditch the DH?
players association wont let them cut 15 high paying jobs AND like chem x said, EVERY league in the world now has the DH
The first point, I get.

The second point, I say who cares. Call me crazy, but I like pitchers having to bat, and I don't like DHs getting to sit on their butts the whole game while all of the other hitters are out there playing the field.

The NL game is better because it is.
It's not and the NL will go to the DH in the next ten years IMO.
It is definitely not better. I don't understand how anybody can think seeing a pitcher flail away makes the game better.

A few weeks ago the Rays were in an NL park and had a pitcher hitting after Jose Molina. Total waste to even bother watching.
I don't think the NL was serious about making the switch ten years ago, but I think the writing is on the wall now. It is mentioned more and more at the winter meetings, I really do believe they go DH sooner than most think. You'd have to give teams plenty of notice though, teams with DHs are built differently and the NL would have to adjust.
